Crossroads Family Vision

This has got to be the worst eye doctor's office in the area. Both of the receptionists have always been pretty rude and unhelpful. I tried to call to schedule an appt, as I have been a patient for several years. I told them I had the same insurance I have had, but they "weren't able to look it up in my chart." It almost seems they get aggravated when they have patients or if someone calls. It's sad that the office staff continues to run people off because both doctors are very kind and accommodating. Unfortunately I will have to find another office to take care of my vision needs, at least until these 2 ladies retire.

I was nervous after reading reviews but I had a great experience! The ladies at the front were sweet and efficient and Dr. Barker was great! He was quick but thorough and so friendly! I'll be sticking with Crossroads for my whole families eye needs.

The receptionist was extremely rude when we arrived 10 minutes late. We told her why we were late and she rolled her eyes and sighed, then replied with a sarcastic tone. The eye doctor however was very nice and funny.

1 star only so I can leave a review.... The staff was helpful when making my appointment with me explaining that I was in Gulfport working from out of town but when the appointment came... What horrible staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unable to assist. The door was locked with 2 people sitting at the counter. When 1 finally came to the door, she didn't want to assist me because she was busy eating her lunch. When I was making the appointment she told me she could get me in in 1 week. THIS WAS NOT TRUE... NOW IVE WASTED A WEEK ON APP THAT NEVER WAS. THE STAFF IS NOT THERE TO ASSIST YOU.... I CANT WRITE ANYTHING ABOUT THE DOCTOR BUT IM SURPRISED BY THE STAFF THEY HIRE TO DEAL WITH THE APPOINTMENTS... NOT HELPFUL IN ANYWAY POSSIBLE & RUDE

AVOID THIS EYE DOCTOR AT ALL COST. Dora the receptionist that has been working there for 10 years is the most unprofessional and laziest receptionist I've ever encountered. The insurance company said that I was eligible for an eye exam however, Dora said that they wouldn't let her file a claim. Our insurance said they would only talk to the providers office they would not give the member any information. We tried calling four separate times and they would not give the patient any information. I asked Dora if she would call the insurance company since they made it clear that they cannot give me any information. By this time we're waiting there for over an hour. And three other patients had been seen. She said it was not her job to deal with the Insurance. She said she was too busy to call the insurance company (there was one new patient in the office filling out paperwork) but she was taking personal phone calls on her cell phone. She wanted Dr. Barker to be there because she said "he would kick me out". Basically she behaves however she wants and talks to patients with complete disrespect. The doctor on site, Dr. Ford, did not intervene, or correct the receptionist for speaking to a patient like she did. All the other reviews are talking about Dora. How has she not been fired yet? They tried to charge me $100 to get a contact prescription. Save your money and go elsewhere. I can not believe this place is in business.

I am currently here with my husband and the older receptionist is incredibly rude. I have an appointment for June 25 and she told a customer off the street that they accept walk in's on a first come basis three days a week. I told her I was never told about walk in and she asked if I was diabetic. I have never had a vision center take a diabetic patient over any other patient. She started saying breathe in and breathe out as if she was irritated that I was bothering her. I am cancelling my appointment if I can find another place to take me in the same time frame

I broke my glasses three weeks ago, and needed an appointment for a new prescription, and new frames. So I called to make an appointment. Well, that appointment was today. I left my job in enough time to account for traffic, and such. I arrived this morning, parked, and walked into the office which took about 2 or three minutes. I went to check in and was told "your appointment was at 10:15 you have to reschedule." My watch literally said 10:17. The receptionist then proceeded to tell me "we give our patients a five minute grace period, if they aren't here within that time they have to reschedule." I was two minutes late which is well within the grace period, and still had to reschedule. So two more weeks with broken glasses, and migraine headaches. The receptionist was rude, cold, and behaved like she just didn't care. I will be canceling the rescheduled appointment as soon as I can find another optometrist. I will not return to this optometrist. The rudeness and ridiculous policy did it for me. If anyone needs an optometrist, I don't recommend this one.

Staff was attentive, visit was quick, and the doctor will make you laugh! Great bedside manner. He acknowledged my concerns. When I inquired about an appointment for my 2 year old, he was honest enough to tell me that a visit isn't necessary for him until he's 4, unless I noticed an issue. He could have made more money by seeing him.
