I was referred here so I didn't see the mixed reviews before going, that may have discouraged me. That being said, my experience was great. I called and had questions about my insurance, since I needed some questions that my insurance company couldn't understand how to answer. They were very helpful and friendly and were able to answer my questions. In person, the staff were friendly and professional. The doctor, Phillip King Jr., was friendly and professional. After the initial fitting, I had done a lot of research on which contacts were the best for my situation and it turns out those were the exact ones he had given me to try. I did try on my second choice, and for a moment they seemed better but due to my astigmatism the first definitely fit better. He was able to explain why the first ones fit better, which was able to give me confidence in his choice for me. He adjusted my prescription based on the fit on my eyes and they are a lot better. I had considered ordering the contacts online but it was much more convenient to order through the office. From what I've experienced and witnessed on the other customers interactions, they were very helpful and friendly. Some of the reviews really surprised me. There wasn't a long wait for me and my second visit they were able to get me in early, so I can't complain there. I will definitely go back next year.
Use to take my oldest son and my 2 year old there for treatment until I transfered both to another more professional Doctor besides the King's. Your doctor sould leave personal problems or vendetta at the door. Your are there for health care not to be told that your going to hang and have worms crawling across your eyes in 10 years. Even the receptionist was in disbelief about the commit.
I never complain or review, but this time it hit differently.
Premier Eye Clinic in Pascagoula is the ABSOLUTE WORST at time management.
I made an appointment weeks ago for a very specific eye exam - one that I have been dreading. I finally went this morning for my appointment and ended up sitting in a waiting room, watching multiple families and patients come and go. I went to the front desk to ask about my appointment and was told that a family of 4 was squeezed in to an appointment 15 minutes before me - they would be with me in a bit. Why would someone schedule a large family in a 15 minute appointment slot? It doesn't make sense.
Time passes by and another family walks in. They sit down and before they could finish their paperwork they called the first family member back. Y'all, I listened to them call two of the four family members to the back. By this time, I had been waiting almost an hour appointment time. I went to the front desk and asked for a refund. While getting the refund, the first patient of the second family was checkin out.
I understand appointments and I just can't imagine lacking that much respect for someones time. Ugh! Rant over!
Waited exactly one hour before my name was called and before seeing the assistant, then 30 additional minutes before seeing the doctor. My time is as valuable as the doctor's. Such a long wait time is unacceptable. It won't happen again!!!
Horrible. Rude staff. Waited an hour and never saw a doctor. Said I was leaving and no one even looked up from the screens they were scrolling.
The office staff does not know what they are doing. Whoever they have making phone calls/scheduling right now needs to be retrained on phone etiquette and general understanding of insurance. I'm sure they're not the billing and reception. If so this needs to change because their simple understanding was not working. Over the last 4 years I have attempted to get appointments for myself and for my children and foster children. I have never successfully gotten into this office. Reasons being they called to cancel because someone was out, the phone customer service was so poor I had to give up, couldn't get an answer and most recently a complete lack of understanding of how to bill Medicaid. Just find another optometrist. I get quicker and better service at Walmarts. Cheaper too.
Everyone was real helpful, quick and efficient for my appointment as well as my 9 year old's appointment. When we went over to the eye glass factory to pick our frames, we were helped by Caitlynn. She was very helpful and answered all of my questions. She's definitely one of the nicest people there.
I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks prior to the appointment date, to ensure childcare along with coordinating all 4 of the people needing appointments could schedule that time off of work. Two days, well more like 36 hours prior to the appointment I got a call saying the facility had to reschedule due to the doctor having a doctor's appointment. I completely understand that everyone needs to go to the doctor, I get that. But, the lack of consideration for my time, was horrific. I explained no other day or time would work, since work was moved around and childcare was an issue and I was essentially told too bad. Thankfully, we got it figured out, because my teens and husband really needed some glasses. My teens glasses came within the two weeks window they had mentioned, but we are 2.5 weeks after my husband paid cash for the exam and glasses and no word on the glasses. Between this, the lack of consideration of others time and the downright rude demeanor of the office staff this isn't a place I would recommend.
