Dr. Mujtaba A. Qazi, MD

Dr Qasi is very personable. He did a very complex procedure to sew a replacement lens when my natural lens capsule disintegrated. He also performed a corneal transplant. I would certainly trust him again.

Dr Qazi is an excellent Doctor, his office is very busy, but in an emergency they will fit you in. Dr Qazi is caring and explains what the issue is, and the treatment needed. I met Dr Qazi after a weekend ER visit with an emergency office visit on Monday. With his expertise and knowledge, my vision was saved. His staff is wonderful. No wonder he was voted the # 1 doctor in his field in St Louis in 2023. I believe the name of the magazine is Top Doctors in the St Louis Area.

I had a terrifying experience when I accidentally got hydrogen peroxide in my left eye. After rinsing it with cold water at home, my vision became fuzzy, and I felt irritation in my left eye. I hesitated about going to the ER, fearing they might not have an eye doctor available. In desperation, I called Dr.Qazi at Pepose Vision Institute, hoping they could help in this emergency situation. To my relief, they accommodated me. During the brief wait at the institute, my left eye's vision worsened (seeing everything like the frosty glass), and the pain became unbearable. I was worried that I might go blind. Dr. Qazi saw me promptly, and after some treatment, my vision began to return. With prescribed eye drops and Ibuprofen, I gradually improved over the next two days. This experience felt surreal, going from a moment of complete blindness to seeing again. I'm writing this review from the bottom of my heart to express my sincere appreciation to Dr. Qazi and the Pepose Vision Institute. Their prompt and expert care saved my vision, and I am forever grateful for their support during this scary incident. Thank you for being there when I needed it the most.

Dr. Qazi and his staff have been dedicated, professional and very personable. Everyone is very skilled and very responsive and respectful during all facets of my exams and surgery. The level of service was exceptional as were the results from my surgery. The physical environment was clean and great care was taken to insure this especially during the pandemic. I have been more than satisfied with my entire experience with Pepose Vision Institute and would highly recommended them.

I am a 74 year old who served as a professional educator for 35 years. I set a very high bar of excellence in selecting my medical professionals. Dr. Mujtaba Qazi far exceeded my expectations both in surgery and in the post-opt appointment I had the following day. I was anxious about my Pterygium surgery, but he calmed me with his exceptional gentleness and kindness. He clearly explained the procedure even using the dry erase board to visually reinforce each step. (Information is power and he empowered me and earned my trust.) At my post op appointment the following day, I fully expected to see some type of black, blue or red bruising, but when he removed the plastic cup and then the gauze there was absolutely no bruising. I believe this to be a testament to Dr. Qazi's skill and expertise as a surgeon. I highly recommend Dr, Qazi to anyone needing this surgery. His staff welcomed us warmly and treated us like family. We are very grateful.

Once you book Dr.Qazi appointment his receptionist from PeposeVision call to place an expensive eye drops $200+ from a third party vendor before Dr.Qazi even examine the patient. After all this he do not answer nor he will explain, he will leave the room with an intention he will be back soon to explain but the nurse visit to say all good you guys can leave. If we have any question the only answer we get is from another nurse with very rude response. We had similar situation from last 2 years. Second time similar procedure ask us to buy another eye drop, charge huge fees and act as if they are treating for free. Qazi you are not God.

Dr. Qazi and staff are amazing at what they do. I've had Keratoconus in one of my eyes. I have been seeing a doctor for 4 years before I saw Dr Qazi. And the dr before Qazi didn't know how to treat Keratoconus and said that there was no treatment. I finally had the intacs surgery six month ago and I'm all ready see 20/20 out the eye and before couldn't even see the person sitting right to me or even the top line of the eye chart. Dr Qazi and staff goes the extra mile to make sure everything is taking care of before and after surgery. I'm so happy that I found Qazi and actually knew what he was talking about with the Keratoconus. I highly recommend him and his staff.

I have been a patient of Dr. Qazi for years. Every visit is like a mini class, which I appreciate greatly! He answers all my questions with thoroughness and kindness, and is open to alternative approaches I propose. The wait time can be crazy, however other times I'm in and out within an hour. Regardless, I would rather wait and see an expert to keep my sight abilities, than be in a time efficient office. Dr. Qazi and his staff are pleasant and create an environment of partnering with patients. Truly thankful.
