America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

I had my first eye appointment at America's Best on October 3rd 2025. The experience was very pleasant and a lovely young lady named Siege helped me to get the best eyeware for me. She has a calm voice, very knowledgeable of the products and how to best use them. I didn't feel like I am pressured to buy. My insurance paid for my eyeware. She was very positive and has the best customer service of all the eye stores I've been to. I recommend going to America's Best and ask for Siege. Thank you for going above and beyond. Amy M.

I was greeted by a woman, only person working in the store at the time, named Siege. She was very pleasant, informative and happy to help with all my questions. Although the experience was a bit different due to being seen by an eye doctor online I was overall pleased with my experience with America's Best due to the help of Siege. Her willingness to help with questions, giving attention even when she had other customers needing assistance, she was very professional and handled the situation in a positive manner while under pressure never displaying frustration or impatience with myself or any of the other customers.

I literally had to get a night's sleep before writing this in order to process the absolute bs that was my visit to this clinic, if you can even call it that. I scheduled an appointment for 5:20 yesterday. I scheduled this appointment over a week in advance, and completed all paperwork prior. I arrived 5 minutes early. I was there until 6:50 all to be told there was no doctor available for me and that I would need to reschedule for another day. How is it someone can schedule an appointment nearly 2 hours before closing and not get seen because there wasnt enough time?? How does an EYE CLINIC not have a doctor on staff during operating hours? Literally hours of my life I will never get back. I might as well have just sat in the parking lot in my car for two hours as that would have honestly been more productive. I question the intelligence of every staff member I came in contact with during this visit and I am truly astonished that most of them know how to breathe on their own. I work at a hospital and scheduled this appointment thinking it would be convenient, as I dont have much leave. After work was my best option. I will not be coming back for another appointment, discount or not. I fear if I did, this establishment would take the opportunity to once again eat away at my time for no good reason and I would yet again walk away with no updated prescription. America's best? More like America's worst.

I am EXTREMELY irritated, frustrated, and disappointed with this place. First, I Scheduled an appointment online. So, I arrived only to find out that they were having electric and equipment problems and my appointment was canceled. I was frustrated because I NEEDED to get new glasses asap. And this place is on the absolute opposite side of town from my house. Begrudgingly, I rescheduled. So fast forward to yesterday when I had my appointment scheduled at 3 pm. We got stuck in traffic pretty badly so I called to advise we were on the way but might be a little late. To which the very unfriendly lady that answered the phone says, "we have a ten minute grace period." Uhhhhh ok. I politely said we'd do the best we could to get there & Ms. Congenitally just repeated the sentence. We get to the store and park. We walked in at 3:12, so two minutes past the "grace" period so I didn't think it would be a big deal. We stood at the reception desk but she was on the phone. Finally hangs up. I give her my name & that I was the one that called. She just stared at me for a few seconds then she says AGAIN "We give a ten minute grace period." Now I'm big time annoyed so I asked if they could squeeze me in. She took some glee in saying no & that I had to. Idk if she was having a bad day or what but she was NOT a pleasant person to deal with. My husband asked if we could reschedule and I said NOPE. If they can't forgive two minutes and work me in, even if I had to wait, I refuse to give them my business. I mean even DOCTORS offices allow more grace time than that. It's a freaking EYE EXAM. I wasn't asking for a private appointment with the freaking Pope. So yeah, that employee was incredibly rude and cost the company some money because I planned on getting 2 pair of designer glasses. I mean, I still will get them, it just won't be at America'S Best.

Siege at the Grindstone location in Columbia Missouri was amazing. She made me feel great about my purchase and made feel excited about wearing glasses. Her people skills are impeccable!

I worked with a lady named either Janet or Janice amd she was great. I was they late one evening. The equipment was not cooperating, and then for some reason she was left to tend the store alone unexpectedly with multiple customers 30 min before close. She did a great job! Handled the stress very well. Was professional and I appreciated it very much!

Really great service,I have a severe prescription . The staff, drive and Katlyn,where so helpful. They took a lot of time to make sure my glasses were a perfect fit. Now will not go anywhere else for eye care.

When it became time to update my perscription due to no longer being able to see very good out of my old glasses .. I choose to go to America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses, and I'm so glad I did ! Despite some of the reviews the 2 pairs of glasses plus free eye exam for $89 was exactly what it was advertised to be. There were so many frames to choose from and even if the frame is a little more than the $75 range that is offered in the special.. you only pay the difference. I found two wonderful frames and I absolutely love them. I could have gotten one for distance and one for reading but choose both for distance so I could have an extra pair. They were ready to be picked up in less than 2 weeks and the fit is perfect for both. The staff is friendly and the environment is very relaxed. They listen to your needed and there are no pressures to upgrade or get extra things that you don't need or want. I was impressed with everyone who works there, the simplicity of the process, and most of all the selection of frames ! Two pairs plus exam in less than 2 weeks for less than $100.00 ( $89 + tax ). Highly recommended!
