I've had glasses since 1972. This was by far the worst eye exam experience ever. Corporate eye care gone too far. Tests i didn't need that I was told "had to be done" and my insurance didn't cover. All techy eye exam with expensive equipment. "Advertisements" I was forced to listen to. Followed by virtual visits by the "technician" and the optometrist. I left with a bill over $100 after insurance. No glasses or contacts bc those prices WITH insurance close to $400 for the basics. My daughter needing an exam. DEFINITELY NOT taking her there. I will NEVER go back to Pearle Vision.
Nice response back...but just lip service. I scheduled my daughter's exam at Walmart vision. What cost me $109 at above would have cost me $35 there. A total rip off. I feel scammed out of my money!!!
The team was super nice. My only critique is that the tele process needs more efficiency. It took much longer than when there was a dedicated in person optometrist. I think the the new tele process could work but it's a slow process.
PV has switched to telehealth optometrists, which made the visit almost easier. The tests were reviewed, however I voiced that I felt my prescription needed to increase & I was ignored by the clinician. I probably won't be returning & will seek eye care form another Columbia location.
Note: If you have MU insurance, there is an extra $39 exam that they perform which isn't covered & will reflect as a copay. Be sure to ask prior to exam time.
They were able to get me in for an exam short notice after lens crafters lost my business for not being upfront about insurance coverage. Pearl Vision got me in for an exam with a Dr. in less than 30 minutes
Did not see Dr. Cordry but the appointment was telehealth instead. Appointment started 20 minutes late and I had to sit and wait in a queue for a virtual doctor to do the exam. It is inefficient and the whole thing took over an hour since I had to see a second doctor and go through the exam again and wait in the queue. Do not recommend telehealth and I hope they do not take away the actual doctor option for an exam.
Tech was very professional. Not a huge fan of the virtual doctor. You lose the in person connection when it's a doc on the screen. Disappointed they performed the MAP test and didn't tell me why or the cost until after I was ready to pay. I was told it was a state requirement; after quick search, that was incorrect. Missouri does NOT require any retinal exam every other year.
The staff was very helpful. I did have a wait a while to see the virtual doctor, but everything else was good.
Dr. Cordry has officially retired...again. Ha ha! Dr. Hughes was great and I was very comfortable with her. I highly recommend!
