KC Family Eyecare (Anderson, Nutt, and Ham)

I have been going to Dr Anderson for over 10 years and have always been happy with him and his staff. In February I went in for my yearly exam and had a very disappointing experience. My eye appointment was thourough as always. When I went to pick out glasses there were 2 women and 2 children behind the counter. When I asked for assistance picking out glasses the person behind the counter was openly annoyed to have to assist me. Several times she walked away to deal with the children that were running around the office. I choose a pair of glass and felt she rushed through measuring for my bifocals. At that time, I was told the glasses would take 3 to 4 weeks to come in. At the end of week 4, I called the office and was told my glasses had come in and someone had forgotten to call me. The next week I went in to pick them up and had to deal with the same rude staff member. I was positive the glass they presented were not the glasses I had chosen. She assured me I was wrong, again rushing me through the fitting, and made me feel like an idiot. I walked out of there with a pair of $900 glasses that I hate and that give me a headache. Regretful that I didn't stand up for myself, but thankful my out of pocket expenses after insurance was $174. It is now November and I am finally writing this review because it is time to set up my yearly appointment and I know I won't be coming back to this office again. I have spent almost 1 year wearing an old pair of glasses while the ugly $900 glasses sit in a drawer unused. I'm just one customer and probably won't be missed, but do yourself a favor and go somewhere they at least pretend to value their customers.

KC Family Eye Care is amazing! They take great care of all of our eye care needs. They are extremely knowledgeable on all aspects from our eye health, contacts and glasses. Their amazing team of professionals are great to work with whether a check up, deeper medical questions, or picking out the perfect set of spectacles, including the perfect fit. They are prompt on any follow ups; great communication. Any time we are headed their way, we know it will be the best part of our day! We highly recommend KC Family Eyecare!

I have been seeing Dr Anderson for probably 20 years or more and I love the way he talks to you and explains everything he will be doing each step of the way. Then the ladies helping pick out the glasses are well informed on the products. I don't want to leave out the reception area and the ladies up front, because they are always so friendly and personable and treat you like a good friend. I highly recommend KC Family Eyecare.

Really wanted to like this place but no longer can recommend them to anyone. I had a pleasant experience with Dr. Ham who seems like a nice and caring person, and the exam was fine hence the 2 stars. The real crux of the problem began with ordering glasses themselves. I got a pair of frames/lenses from them and it took about 2-3 weeks to come in. The frame had a defect which came to light about 3-4 weeks after I started wearing them so I took them into the office and they agreed the frame was defective and that they would order a new frame. It has now been over 5 months since I initially went to them with the problem and the replacement has not come in. I try calling them to get an update and they say we will call you back and then never do, or they do not pick up. If this place supports your insurance coverage, just get your eye exam done and then buy frames elsewhere. Save yourself the hassle and honestly probably the money too - most name brand places like at malls, etc. have way way larger variety and the same if not better prices.

I had an amazing experience getting fitted for my contacts. My astigmatism is pretty severe, and most offices struggle with fitting me. Dr. Anderson did an amazing job - this is the best I've been able to see in years!! I highly recommend this office. They even found a way to keep my daughter entertained during the visit.

Another small business that acts like my business is an inconvenience. They don't answer the phone and they will pick up and send you straight to voicemail. Then just like all other companies who don't pick up, they will call you back when you can't answer. Tried calling them 3 times and then got Maureen who acted like I was bothering her. I have government insurance and I get a pair of glasses every year that cost over 500 dollars. I will be using my benefits with a business who picks up the phone

I've seen Dr. Anderson for several years. I've never once been disappointed with the level of care he and his staff have given me. They make you feel welcome the moment you step into the office. From start to finish, I have genuinely felt respected, cared for, and valued by the entire staff. I have recommended him to friends and family, and will continue to do so.

There are a few things I consider a priority when selecting my eye doctor. The first is do I feel truly cared for...or am I just another blip on the screen. Hands down Dr. Lisa Nutt makes me and everyone I know that has ever seen her as their doc...feel valued as a person AND as a patient. Equally important...she cares for me like she would her own family member. She does an amazing job of educating me about what's going on....while also making it fun. The staff at Anderson & Nutt are some of the nicest most helpful people I've met. I truly feel like a member of the practice Family and I know they ALWAYS have my best interests at heart. The quality of care, communication and state of the art technology used in addressing all of my concerns and knowing they'll refer me to a specialist if I need further care, have always been reassuring to someone who knows what it feels like to care for others too. Thanks Dr. Nutt and everyone that cares so much about us all. Hands down, I would never hesitate to refer friends and family to such an amazing doc and practice!
