It was my first visit to Sabates Eye Centers. I can't say enough about Dr. Camejo! His examination is thorough, he's pleasant, and he invites questions. Honestly, other ophthalmologists have answered questions that I have, but I've never been asked If I have questions.
My technician performed the initial exam, and she was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. You're greeted at the front desk with a smile. The office was nicely decorated and music was played in the secondary waiting room. Very cheery! It was a great experience overall.
I will have cataract surgery in a few weeks. Surgery of any kind makes one nervous, but I'm confident that my eyes are in very good hands. Highly recommended!

From the quick check in to the very friendly staff I felt welcomed and that they were doing a very good job. The tech was super nice and did the preliminary test before taking me over to see Dr Kraus. He gave a very detailed exam of my eyes told me each step of the way what he was doing and the reason for it. Not cold like some clinics I have been to. Even told me what to expect as I aged and what I had to look forward to. I'm very happy with Dr Kraus and hope he stays with the clinic as long as I need to go.

Made an appointment for a specific test to be done, show up and they give me an eye exam then tell me they can't do the test I need because I'm already dilated. Then got a condescending attitude with me because I should have told them when I checked in.... then what's the point of asking when I make the appointment what I'm coming in for.... I understand that mistakes happen, but to take act that way is very unprofessional. Front desk was also very short and rude with all patients that day. I drove past the normal office I use and went to the st Luke's office because i needed this test done sooner than later, now they are saying that i NEED to go to my normal office and dr, but he's scheduling a month out. All my experiences up till this point with the independence and overland park locations with dr walline, including lasik surgery were great, but avoid the st. Luke's location like the plague.

I went to the sabates location on the plaza. I was greeted by an exceptionally rude front desk attendant raising her voice and talking down to an elderly couple. She then looked at me and ordered me to get in line which was only 3 feet difference. I confronted her about her behavior and called her rude. She responded with a sarcastic response by saying well I guess im sorry and then rolled her eyes. I dont know her name, but he was white, wirh very short reddish hair. The other lady checking people in was black and was very very nice.

Took the time to examine, performed diagnostic tests and then evaluate my chief compliant with the provider being extremely thorough and taking the time to explain my diagnosis and how to proceed for treatment and resolution of my ailment!
