I feel like the eye exam was perfect. I got my prescription good selection of frames for my budget. My contacts
Fitting appointment Was set for a month out.
Which cost nearly $100?
I thought I was going home wearing contacts. But they have to order my prescription in contacts.
You would think They would have my prescription contacts in office when I came to my appointment for the fitting. Especially if I'm going to pay $100. But they have to order them, which is 2 weeks away. Luckily for them, I've already worn contacts which I've told them that before. So why am I being charged $100 for a fitting? I Don't need\nTo be fitted unless they're going to give me a $100 worth of contacts. That is not the case.I'm very dissatisfied with this appointment, but very satisfied with my initial prescription appointment. The eye exam. "Come in for a contacts fitting with your prescription contacts. With no contacts to fit my eyes. Then charge me $100 to sit in the waiting room and tell me they will order my script and I can come back and pick them up in two weeks" grrrrrrr. Not recommended for contacts unless they are forever correct my vision. We'll seeeeee.
Update-It's officially been 6 weeks since my son's appointment and we still have not received his glasses. If you would like to have better vision sooner rather than later, I'd visit someplace else.
The appointment went great. The staff and Dr. were very nice. However, I don't have good things to say about the customer service in terms of ordering and receiving glasses.
After my son's appointment, we ordered a pair of glasses and were told that it should only take about 2 weeks, and that in many cases it doesn't take that long. I called to check on the status a few days after the 2 week mark, and was told that they just hadn't arrived yet.
I called again, the next week, nearly 3 1/2 weeks after ordering, and was told that there was actually a mix-up and the glasses weren't even ordered until I called the previous week to check the status.
I tried calling earlier today with no answer, so I left a voicemail. I hadn't received a response, and my husband offered to check in at their office while he was in Marshfield. He was told that they still weren't in and that technically it hadn't even been the two weeks since they ordered them (which doesn't really help their case as far as customer service goes).
We are now 3 days short of 5 weeks, and my son still doesn't have his pair of much needed glasses.
I know several family members in need of glasses who were going to try this officer, but have decided against it after hearing why my son STILL does not have his glasses.
I went to this eye clinic for an exam and possibly new glasses on August 27. 2024. Here it is October the 8th, and still no glasses after i was told 2-3 weeks. This makes the second time, first being last year. Wife went, and it took 6 weeks to recieve hers. This is totally unacceptable. Wife went to Wal-Mart this year and got hers back in 3 days. I do believe this clinic needs to find better labs for sure.
My experiences at Marshfield Family Eye Care were poor. The girls had a lack of professionalism, respect and patience.
Dr. Boone is pleasant enough, however following my first full exam, he prescribed glasses but overlooked addressing the dry eye. I called a few days later hoping he would suggest something, but they scheduled a SECOND full exam. His suggestion at that appointment was to wash my eyes better. When that made no difference at all, I called again to address that and the glasses that didn't fit right. They scheduled a THIRD full appointment.
That's 3 full screenings and exams in as many months. I arrived for my third full exam, scheduled for 9:00, 5 minutes early. I stand watching them chat for a couple of minutes and knock. The girl gives me a dismissing wave and smile, turns and returns to chatting. Although they were doing nothing, they refused to let me in even 3 minutes early! Who doesn't arrive at a doctor's appointment 10 minutes early? I walked away and will not return. Now I'm stuck with bad glasses. I feel their main objective was to make as much money as possible. Disheartening and disappointing
Dr. Boone is excellent, That being said the business practices of where he is employed sucks. Took over 3 weeks to receive glasses put on my supplied frames. Rt. eye prescription wrong. Asked for no line progressive glasses and got bifocals that are not right. they charged my insurance then I had to pay them 3 more co-pays out of my own pocket just to get something to see through. Then when I get upset about the whole mess they kick me out of the office before I can check the precription. Now They will not take my call so I can talk to Dr. Boone. Aviod this office like the Bubonic Plague.
The customer service is absolutely amazing!! The doctor was so nice, patient with me as I had several questions which he answered every single one! When picking out my glasses I was lost, I didn't know which to pick, every one I picked out myself and thought I would like didn't look good on me at all and then an assistant came and helped me, he picked out 3 pairs of glasses that looked and felt amazing on and he was also so patient with me trying to decide which to choose. Finally after 10 minutes or so I picked my glasses. This is definitely going to be mine and my families forever eye doctor! I felt so comfortable, relaxed and not rushed at all! Thank you so much!
Customer service was amazing! My son and I both came here. I got contacts and tried a few brands before settling. They were very patient with me. With my son they were absolutely amazing!!!! He was about 8 at the time. They were so patient with him since he was between the kids and adults frames. They helped him pick several pair that fit and explained to him the pros and cons of each pair. When they came in they allowed him to go back so he could watch and see how they adjust them. Sadly our insurance changed so we had to switch eye drs but I can not wait tell we switch again!
Very friendly and helpful but they dont have a very big selection of glasses with was disappointing but all and all not a bad place to go
