I took my wife to this location on Butler Hill Rd. after she complained her prescription wasn't right that she received at the Festus Clarkson Eyecare location. The OD, Michael Katich, at this location did an examination & said the previous examination & script was completely wrong. The OD was thorough & provided additional information that wasn't given at the Festus location & a new script. The staff was accommodating & friendly & we will definitely use this location verses the one in Festus. I was even willing to pay for another eye examination but they did it at no cost to us. Kudos to the team at the Butler Hill Rd. Clarkson Eyecare.

Much like the previous reviewer I suggest you never order contacts through Clarkson and especially this location. The woman who handles this, Kathy I think, has lied to me time and time again. I have the literal receipts and proof. I'm not sure if she's doing it to cover up her own mistakes, mistakes at the distribution center, or both, but the lack of respect is appalling. It has been over a month since I ordered contacts and they are still not here because after dropping the ball and lying again and again she finally ordered the WRONG prescription. Dr. Katich is awesome. It's a shame his staff is so incompetent. I was planning to use Clarkson for Lasik but now I don't want to risk it.

Mirsada, who works the front desk, was very unprofessional and passive aggressive. She also miscommunicated my health information to the optometrist. I am going to ensure my personal and professional colleagues do not visit the Clarkson Butler Hill location. I have filed a formal complaint with Clarkson. I am writing this review to warn persons considering visiting this location, do not. There are plenty of Clarkson or primary eye providers to visit.

I liked Dr Katich and would recommend him. The cons were: the long wait to see him. Also, the technician didn't ask me if I wanted the digital scan which costs an extra $39.00 before I had it.
Edit: My Medicare Advantage plan has a Vision allowance of $405/year. I was charged $983.58 for my exam and glasses --- they didn't apply my insurance benefit of $405! Instead they charged the full amount. I found out months later that I had a credit only because I ordered contact lens. They charged me almost the full amount of my credit! I could have bought contacts online for much less. Note: they neglected to tell me I even had a credit; it was discovered when I purchased contacts. I'm so disappointed with Clarkson Eyecare.
