Excellent doctor very patient with my 85 year old daddy his professionalism and communication was awesome will be going back to him

My experience was not great. I try to be proactive by getting an idea of what to expect as far as price for everything before I go in so I called the downtown location for pricing and they referred me to my insurance so I would get the most accurate pricing. When I get there I tell them what my insurance told me and explained I wanted to stick to only what my insurance covers. Both the front desk lady and optometrist were friendly and nice. The desk/ assistant lady asked if I wanted a service that wasn't covered by my insurance and I declined again stating only what I am covered for. She then took me to the desk to discuss glasses and contacts. I just needed my glasses prescription since I currently have glasses and I have used acuvue contacts for my whole life but was recommended a new brand that was on "sale". I went with the new brand of contacts since my limit with my insurance covers up to $130 which I've never gone over with my previous contacts so I was surprised when I got to the total and I had to pay $75. It was embarrassing because I didn't plan for that and I specifically called in advance to avoid this also to find out that I was charged for something that wasn't covered by my insurance which would have been nice to know again when I called to get pricing. I was just extremely disappointed with the experience and I felt lied to and cheated and I know times are hard but I just still appreciate human decency and I do not feel like I got that from this experience.

I was told my appointment would only cost me $60 and the rest was covered by my insurance. 3-4 months later I recieve an electronic bill for another $100. Billing company was also rude and unwilling to help. In office they also don't go the extra mile to make sure the glasses fit your face properly like other companies do, it seems like they are focused on making a sell. I will never shop with them again.

I had my yearly eye exam appointment on 10/17/24 at 2pm. I also went inside the store to look at frames the week prior to my appointment date. This appointment was booked last year during my yearly eye exam appointment and I even had a hard time with this store last year but that's a different story. I called the store on my appointment day to see if I could reschedule but told the lady only if it could be for the next couple days and she then informed me my appointment was cancelled! I told her that didn't cancel it and really needed new frames as the ones they should've replaced last year they ended up giving me the exact same pair. So since I have Medicaid and they only see two a day I now have to wait until next February. I currently stay at St Patrick's Center in the woman's shelter and it's easy for me to walk there as I have no vehicle. This isn't fair to customers . I was told they call prior to the appointment and if there's no answer or response they automatically cancel the appointment. I'm stuck without glasses till the end of February next year now.

My traveling companion's lens popped out of her spectacles and the kind folks at Clarkson performed some minor repair and got us back to sightseeing in less than 15 minutes. And, it was no charge to boot! STL folks are the best!!!!

Definitely have a phobia of things near my eyes and Dr. Shannon and her staff were great! Definitely glad that I took the time to find them and that they accepted my insurance. Look forward to seeing her for my eye exam next year lol!

I've been coming here for years and their communication is always great! There was a problem with my insurance and they worked with me to get everything straightened out before my appointment. They got me in and out without feeling rushed. Answered all of my questions and concerns. Always a great experience. The whole team there is excellent! Very professional and personable

I've been avoiding seeing an eye care specialist. I was pleasantly surprised by the warmth and kindness from everyone during my appointment. I just love Dr. Niere and her staff. Dr. Niere was thorough and very informative. There are a lot of product choices and the pricing ranged low to high, so there is something for everyone.
