SLUCare Ophthalmology

I had an appointment scheduled for today at 2:15 with Dr Franco. At 3:15 I approached the desk to see where I was on the list because I noticed numerous people who had just arrived had went straight to the back. I was told by the receptionist that Dr Franco was five people behind with a 1:00 appointment still waiting to be seen which meant at 3:15 there were five people still waiting to be seen ahead of me and I had a 2:15 appointment that had passed an hour before. I told them to cancel my appointment. She asked that I want to reschedule I told her no.

They are beyond ridiculous here!!! They are never on time and I do mean never. They have arrival time 15 minutes before the actual appointment to literally been seen an hour after our appointment time. Every single time it is the same excuse "we are short staffed." I understand that, but every single time is not an acceptable excuse anymore. After finally getting into a room it took another hour to been seen by the resident not even the actual doctor. At this point it has been over 2 hours and yet to been seen by a doctor. After speaking to the resident we were told the average appointment time is 4 hours! I am not sure of what world this would be ok in. This ophthalmology department needs a serious overhaul! This should not be the norm!!!

The wait time to be seen here is unreal!!! We are always here an excess of 3 plus hours!!! Their explanation is always they are short staffed or I even got and I quote " there are a lot of sick people here." If I could give negative starts I would. My daughter was referred here from Cardinal Glennon because she has glaucoma, and there is no pediatric glaucoma specialist here in the Saint Louis area. So it's either here or wash u. There is absolutely no reason to wait 3 plus hours to see a doctor. They need to schedule accordingly. People's time is valuable.

Dr. Das went above and beyond to help me. His care was excellent. He was thoughtful, thorough, and flexible. He deserves 6/5 star review.

I was taken to ER from Lake St Louis by ambulance Due to eye injury The ER was busy so bit of a wait However; Excellent Care Opthalmology Dept saved my vision Very professional from the front desk staff to the opthalmic Techs to Amazing Dr. Thank You

The providers are superb. The front desks are a whole other story. No one knows anything, rude, they don't even do check in right. Needs A LOT of improvement. Unfair to have this imbalance. Losing patients this way. Please improve

Never on time! Both times, waited over an hour to be seen. They're not even busy... Just extremely nonchalant and relaxed about their job. It's beyond ridiculous!

My friend is being treated for a corneal ulcer. Dr. Moussa and his team are very experienced! I trust them with my friend's eye! OH, and the receptionists are awesome! They love their jobs!
