Sitting on hold for over 20 minutes still waiting to schedule an appt. This woman always says "I'm with a patient" every time you call and it's impossible to make one or reschedule one. The doctors are amazing but this is ridiculous. Can't they have someone actually take calls. We are patients too....

I would give them 0 starts if I could. So I made an appt on 11-22 for 11-23. I get there, she ask are you a new patient, I say yes and she says come back here. I get back there, she says what's your name, i tell her and she says we tried to call you earlier. She says the Doctor has a policy, he wont see new patients cause he doesnt know your health history. Really, cause she just asked me if I was a new patient! Also they never called me and certainly didnt leave a message. Let me add that they had about 24 hours to call me. It would have saved me my time,gas and everything. Dont waste your time!
No wonder they could get me in so quick in the first place.

Update 2021 -
I saw a women doctor there for the past 6? or so years. This year, I was seen by the older man. During the first visit, he told me DESPITE my protests that the RX he came up with was right. I couldn't see. I give it a week anyway. Come back with the same complaints, he gives me a stronger prescription (which was NOT the issue, it is my astigmatism). Give it another week - he told me there was nothing else he could do for me.
Fast forward - I go to another "big name" eye care place. My script was completely redone, was given weaker scripts and an astigmatism contact. So, not only was my script entirely wrong, he refused to treat my astigmatism.
If I had still seen the women, maybe things would be fine but that man is a joke and I ended up paying double or triple because of him, since I had to go to another doctor!!

Dr Shields is wonderful.
Her examinations are thorough and she informed me of scarring a previous doctor never even mentioned, though the injury happened many many years ago.
She speaks to her patients in a very educational manner, which I personally love in any doctor. I won't be seeing any other in future appointments.
The rest of the staff is friendly and helpful as well.

Would give 0 stars if I could. I just got back from the vision center. I made my appointment five days previous to allow to arange transportation. I am hemiplegic (paralyzed on the right side of my body) and I am just recovering from having a brain aneurism repaired. Any way, walking is slow and difficult. I had a friend drop me off at the Walmart entrance but the wind picked up to the point that I couldn't hold the car door open (my driver had too actually force the door open with my cane in order to allow me to get my legs out of the car and therefore it took me a few minutes to get physically get out of the car. The vision center is located just inside the entrance. I immediately went to the vision center for my appointment. I was told that Dr. Bowman's policy is since I was over 10 minutes late for my appointment my appointment was automatically canceled and I needed to make another appointment for another day. NOTE: it took me nearly 15 minutes to just get into the building and there was absolutely no patients in the waiting area ahead of me. I said "NO" and walked out.

I only have good things to say about this specific vision center. James is absolutely fantastic with my children and their glasses. The staff is always kind and helpful. My mom was visiting from out of state and needed her glasses adjusted. She walked in,was greeted and James adjusted her glasses in about 3 minutes.
