All of the team members were polite, professional, and respectful of my needs. The team members consist of the receptionist, nurses, anesthesiologist, surgery team, and Doctor Kotowski. As I was being wheeled into the surgery room and then getting prepped for the procedure my first thought was "It takes a village." They all worked in perfect harmony.and were awesome! Patty Orr

I went in for ongoing issues with my vision that have been occurring for at least 5 years. I have explained my issues multiple times to several doctors. I have to see an eye doctor every year because I'm diabetic. I was initially very impressed with Dr. Kotowski and his staff. They did a good job of explaining the surgical options and preparing me for my cataract surgeries. My care prior to and during my surgeries was top notch and they worked with me to get me in before the end of the year to do both eyes while my insurance was paying at 100%. I really appreciate that that they were able to make that happen for me. I was told before my cataract surgeries and at my follow up appointment that there are additional procedures that could be done to address my floater problems, if the cataract surgeries didn't resolve the issues. I mentioned at the follow up that my regular vision is better but I am still having issues with the floaters. The doctor seemed irritated with me and told me to be patient because my eyes are still healing. I scheduled another appointment almost 6 weeks later (yesterday) and told him that the issues have not been resolved and are affecting my every day life and my job. I drive for the majority of my job and I have floaters that come in big waves about every 10 seconds. They cover my entire field of vision in both eyes. He looked at my scans and my eyes, and seemed irritated that I had come back. He was VERY dismissive and I was basically told I was making something out of nothing. He said he can see the floaters but they aren't that big and shouldn't be affecting me that much. I was very frustrated as I told him that these issues are affecting me every day, all day long. I told him that I have done multiple trials of things, including stopping medications for up to 3 months to see if anything made a difference. Nothing has and this particular problem is not caused by medication. People normally have floaters and I always have. They can increase as you get older, as mine did. They can increase as a result of cataract surgery and mine did again. Now I'm at the point that it affects me all day, every day. He now refuses to do any additional treatment because he says the treatment is risky and my floaters aren't that bad. He said I must be hypersensitive and it shouldn't affect me the way I am describing. BUT IT DOES! He is an eye doctor who refuses to treat vision issues because he doesn't think they are that serious. It is serious to me. I became emotional because I am frustrated and I began to cry. He said I can seek a second opinion but did not give me a referral because he said there is nothing wrong. He can't see through my eyes - I can and this is not normal. He would be frustrated too, if he was trying to do every day tasks related to his job and his vision clouded over every minute of every day. He refused any further treatment and says maybe I should see I neurologist or neurologist-ophthalmologist but, again, no referral. If he had no intention of helping me, he could have just said that before I arrived and I would have saved myself the wasted time. It's a 100 mile round trip for me to see him. If I somehow irritate him by asking for help, he could have said that too. Maybe we just aren't a good fit. Why offer a treatment and then refuse to do it. I deserved to be heard, not dismissed. He humiliated me because I came to him for help. If he can't help he could have referred me elsewhere instead of insulting me and walking away. To tell someone that they don't have a problem and it's not serious is insulting and dismissive. I was devastated and sat in the parking lot for over two hours because I was so defeated. We go to doctors for help and that was not helpful.

It's hard for my family to understand when we're tlaking about eyeball shots, but I look forward to my CRVO treatments each month. His confidence, competence and skill reassure me that my eyesight is in good hands and will last as long as I do.

I've been Dr Kotowski's patient since 9/2023, from the first visit I found him to be, not only my primary RS, but also a kind teacher of all things relating to my Macular Degeneration and treatment.. Very happy and satisfied with his care..

Pre op procedures went very smooth and surgery was a piece of cake! The nurse called to check up with me a few hours later and everything is going exactly like they said it would. Thank you for 5 star service.

Dr Kotowski was amazing! He was very explanatory about the issues I had. He was up front and honest with me. I was nervous and scared but he was quite reassuring I had no reason to be. I will be returning to him in the future. I felt as if he genuinely cared about my issues and me! So thank you Dr Kotowski for everything!

I know that I am receiving the best information and treatment possible from Dr. Kotowski who understands the great difficulty of my eye status. I appreciate his care and concern greatly.
