The atmosphere might be small town doctor, but the technology used is cutting edge. Exams are pricier, but that's because Dr. Pillen is looking for the cause of any vision issues rather than just what your prescription is, such has damage to the cornea or underlying health issues like diabetes. Highly recommend her for anyone needing glasses/contacts for the first time or with any health conditions that might affect vision.

I brought my 4 year old here for her exam and everything went smoothly. The optometrist was very patient and great with her. Also, I had to bring my 1 year old with me, which was so easy, because they had toys for him in the room. It was a wonderful atmosphere for my children and I'm greatful for their expertise.

100% recommend Dr. Pillen, she has a kind and conversational spirit and the gals at the desk are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable as well. This was my first time getting an eye exam since 2014 and it was a wonderful experience, I'm excited to be getting glasses and look forward to continuing my eye care with Dr. Pillen + team!

The staff were nice HOWEVER, they told us that our glasses would be done in two weeks. Here we are FOUR WEEKS LATER and my husband got his today but mine are LOST! Apparently first they had an issue with our frames not being in stock. Okay, why didn't anybody call and tell us??? He says he DID but NO HE DID NOT! Says he called us on the 13th and spoke directly to one of us but he doesn't remember which one! Now MY glasses are missing completely! I have been getting glasses since I was a VERY small child and NEVER had anything like this happen. EVER! I am upset. Angry. Definitely not happy. Who would be??? I want a refund but I already used our insurance so what's the point? I'll come update IF and when they arrive...

I have found my home with an optometrist that knows her stuff! Dr. Pillen is extremely professional and is always courteous towards her staff and her patients. She's shown me and shared with me more information than any other optometrist before. I appreciate and respect her as a doctor and as a person.
I've observed a lot of rave reviews about the Bellevue Vision Clinic and all those people who posted them are on point!
The 2 negative reviews I find unfounded. The one review that slanders the Dr.'s husband is totally outlandish and has nothing to do with the original issue here. Mr. Hinsburg sounds like it's more than personal with him.
I've been around the Dr. long enough to know that she's a stellar performer towards her patients, young or old... and that's why they keep coming back!
