Shopko is a wonderful place to get your eyes examed!! I had a great experience with both Melinda Kennel and Sherri!! They are wonderful ladies who take their job seriously and make their patients feel comfortable! :]

Kelcie 0480236 was wonderful to work with! She was very patient as I picked out my frames for not only my glasses but also sunglasses. She was chipper; very welcoming, and very professional. I really appreciated how friendly she was. She knew her job well and did it with a great smile!

So glad we decided to go to Shopko Optical, in Norfolk. One of the best experiences we have had finding proper eye care. I would highly recommend Shopko Optical. The staff was very, professional, friendly and helpful!

Bonnie was professional, kind and helpful she explained everything in detail making sure we understood.

My teenagers and I are patients of Dr. Kennel. The care she provides is phenomenal! She takes her time, answers questions and makes a genuine effort to understand her patients concerns. The staff are all so kind and caring. They are excellent at helping you find proper fitting eyewear that not only compliments you but fits your lifestyle. With having 3 family members treated at Shopko Optical we have great appreciation for the staff. Stacey, Bonnie, Sherri, Lacey, Nancy & Kelsie have all helped us. From the moment you walk in the door you are treated with the highest customer service!

Kelcie was a very nice, young lady who did a fantastic job with helping find a new pair of glasses and I absolutely love them. I am very thankful for her help!

If you have a child away at college, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE. I went to this establishment about a year ago or so while at college to get an eye exam and some new glasses. Trying to find a new place now reminded me of this traumatic experience. Melinda was the doctor and she was very rude about fake eyelashes I had on. I didn't realize it would affect the exam, and she made me feel stupid. She was very stuck up and would not stop complaining about coming back to work after going to Paris. Then I was trying to get glasses and could not decide on which pair I wanted as I was indecisive since it is a bigger purchase for me. One of the ladies in the front pushed me to make a decision and was saying whatever she thought I wanted to hear. I then was confused about how the insurance worked and again they treated me like I was stupid. I was so close to crying that I just gave them my credit card so I could get out of there. I cried the entire hour ride home as I was unhappy with the experience and the glasses I got. My mom called the next day to ask if I could by chance cancel the order of the glasses I chose, but they said they were unable to do that which is understandable. However, she then told my mom something along the lines of "well obviously she picked them out for a reason." Just rude staff all around. Definitely makes me hesitant to get an eye exam anywhere now.
