I had a great experience at Costco Optical. At first, my glasses weren't fitting correctly, but the staff were incredibly helpful and took the time to fix the issue by helping me get new ones. They were friendly, patient, and made sure everything fit comfortably this time. The quality is excellent for the price, and the whole process was easy and stress-free. I'm very happy with my glasses and would definitely recommend Costco Optical to others.

I recently had a disappointing experience at Carson City Optometry located within Costco. After my yearly exam, I received a new prescription, but once I got my new glasses, I found I couldn't see clearly at all. They suggested I come in for a follow-up, assuring me that "I should be able to see clearly with the new prescription" and advised me to wait another two weeks. Unfortunately, when I returned still struggling with my vision, I was again told the prescription should work, and I left with glasses that were ineffective. Feeling frustrated, I sought a second opinion at Eyes on Carson, where the optometrist quickly identified that I needed a different prescription. It took mere minutes to determine what was wrong, and after receiving my new glasses, I was finally able to see clearly again. My experience at Eyes on Carson was a stark contrast to my time at Carson City Optometry, where I felt rushed and unsupported. It seems that Carson City Optometry may be either too busy to provide thorough care or lacking in the competence needed to address prescription issues effectively. I highly recommend seeking an exam elsewhere if you want to ensure your vision needs are properly met. Eyes on Carson truly came through for me, and I'm grateful for their attentive and expert care!

Costco Vision charges you $25 EXTRA if you bring your own frames! The lens prices aren't bad, but they get you on the frames. My Optical dispenser at my optometrist's office doesn't charge anything extra if you want to bring you own frames , basically reuse the ones you have. Then they give a discount to the current patients, so the price is cheaper anyway you look at it. Forget Costco when it comes to glasses. Sure, but gasoline from Costco, but NOT glasses!

So I went in to get my eyes examined because I do a lot of night driving and I have astigmatism. I went in for an eye exam to get my numbers and there was a mistake on the exam. I know this, because after dropping $400 for glasses with the prescription they gave me, the left lens is wrong. I called the office and asked if I can just take another exam (I was more than willing to pay for it again). To which the same doctor told me to just wear it for 2 weeks and that I'd get used to it. If I *can't* see through one of the lenses, then simply put the prescription is WRONG; and I'm not ruining my eyes more for the sake of it. So now I have to see if Ray-Bans can redo my prescription since I already dropped $400 on lenses, on top of nearly $200 for the exam. Hopefully Eyemart Express will get it right this time. Absolutely disappointed in these guys

I made an appointment and they said Exam is $89. Turned out it was $160. Went for reading glasses, because I wasn't sure which I need from dollar store. I said I don't need contacts, and glasses because I have them, as well as several pairs of sunglasses. Ended up with prescription for regular glasses, reading glasses, computer glasses and sunglasses. Also she said she will order trial contact lenses (free) that work for distance snd reading, and they will call me next week to try them. It was a over month ago. Never called and pushing to buy 4 pair of glasses, when I said i only want reading glasses. Beyond ridiculous. Never going back!

The Dr was really helpful and took a time to explain my questions and help me not only get my glasses prescription but also found the perfect contacts that work amazing in my eyes. I really like how detailed she is and how attentive she is to answering questions and offering insights for my eye! Seriously will definitely go back yearly for my exam and see her- she is great!
