Dr. Erin Polukoshko & Associates

I was due for an annual eye exam and read good reviews about Dr. Polukoshko & Associates so I figured I would schedule an appointment. I was skeptical due to the fact that she looked more like a model than a doctor. However, she was uber professional and explained everything in layman's terms. Would highly recommend this optometrist's office, thank you!

I have visited this office as my primary eye care provider for years now. The staff and Dr Polukoshko have been courteous and very professional. I would, and have recommended them to all of my friends. If you're looking for a great eye Dr. This is the place to go.

I got an eye exam and the initial experience was positive. The reception and doctor were all friendly and thoughtful. During the exam, I was very happy because I could see crystal clear in the eye exam machine and I was looking forward to getting an updated prescription and pair of glasses after 4 years with my old prescription. Still, glasses are expensive and life is busy, so it took me some time before I could have a pair of glasses made. Unfortunately when I got them, the new glasses were significantly worse than my old pair. I was told that it takes 24-48 hours for eyes to adjust to new glasses, but over a week later they are still much much worse than my old prescription. Clearly there was a transcription error or something because there is no reason why the new prescription could be dramatically worse than my old prescription. Unfortunately, the doctor is refusing to check the accuracy of the prescription because I didn't rush out and get new glasses as soon as the prescription was made. Because insurance only covers one exam a year, I'd need to pay out of pocket for a new exam to correct the mistake of the doctor. I understand that eyes change over time and there is a good reason to have a policy of not rechecking a prescription after a certain period of time, but given that the new prescription is much worse than a much older prescription, it can't be the case that the prescription was just out of date. It was wrong, and now I need to pay for eye insurance for another full year or pay out of pocket for a new exam because of the lack of competence and integrity of this doctor. It's a shame.

I've gone here for years now. The receptions always been nice and efficient. I've always showed up on time and they get me in and out with a script. Dr. Polukoshko has always been gentle and very helpful. Negative reviews imo are just one off incidents stuff happens. Will keep going here until I don't have a reason to.

I had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I called to schedule an appointment and they were able to get me in for the exact day I wanted. The receptionist was also very kind and made the check in process very smooth and easy I was very pleased with the cash pay prices they made it very affordable for those without insurance. Dr. Polukoshko was very friendly and answered all my questions. I will definitely be coming back here next year!! :)

I have been to several different eye dr.s due to my eye condition. And Dr Polukoshko is by far my favorite! She had understanding and was willing to help me no matter what. The staff is fantastic and friendly as well. If I could give this office a 10 I would.

Don't get me wrong, Dr. Polukoshko is a great OD. She really explains to you clearly why she's doing those tests with you (4 stars for her!). I am giving this clinic 2 stars due to her receptionist. Time and time again I keep experiencing her rudeness whether in person or on the phone. The feeling of cringing before calling this clinic is very sad since I need to expect that Dr. Polukoshko's receptionist will be rude to me again. Ugh! I DON"T LIKE HER!!!

I had my annual exam today; I have never had an issue the last 3 years i went to this office. However, on this trip for some reason, the new updated prescription I was given was far worse than the one I came in with. I spent over 300$ on 2 new frames and lenses at eyemart express next door that are worthless to me as i cant see as clearly as I can with my old Rx. Since i live outside the Reno area and was car pooling, i could not wait another 2 hours to have her do a re-evaluation. Now my vision is still impaired and I cant fix it till next year when my insurance can cover a new examination. I do not enjoy giving poor reviews to anyone...but this time I am inclined to do so since this directly affects my career and personal life severely.
