From the very start of entering, the warm and welcoming greeting from Nicole was very nice. Her patience and assistance that was provided with my bad knee, was very much appreciated. Dr. Mary McMain was very friendly and offered really good recommendations on my vision needs. Having a little interaction about life was so nice and caring. The exceptional service from Angelo goes beyond any care I've experienced! We had laughs and shared stories as well as finding the perfect glasses! His decoration skills of the month of your office were exceptional too! All together, the staff was absolutely wonderful! Thank you.
DO NOT TRUST EYEZONE! I went for my annual eye exam. Was asked if I wanted retinal imaging as it would cost me $39 out of pocket. I said no because I knew my insurance covered it. After checking my insurance the next day, I called back. They said insurance doesn't cover it. I told them mine did. They looked and said it covered up to $39, which was their in network price, then argued why it wasn't covered. This place is a ripoff stealing money! Don't even trust the eye exam part now! Contacting the insurance and my company to try to get them out of the network
There was one person that was friendly, everyone else made me feel rushed and like I didn't belong in there. The appointment was October 9th and I still don't have the glasses I ordered. Every time I call the recording tells me that they shipped and should be here in 3-5 days, that was two weeks ago. I actually reached a person today who told me that she would call the lab to see what's taking so long, then call me right back, that was two hours ago. I just want the glasses that I've already paid for. I will never go back to this place again and I do not recommend it at all.
This place is great! The staff was friendly, efficient and professional. Haven't been to the eye doctor in over 5 years (shame on me!), so it was time to pay the eye doctor a visit. Also, needed a new eye doctor since my old one had retired, and I didn't care for the place that took over his practice. Anyway, found EyeZone through my vision insurance and made an appointment.
The day before my appointment, Sherri (sp?) called to confirm my insurance which took 2 calls but she was patient with me and we got it done. I appreciated Sherri's patience during this process because it meant that she wouldn't have to cancel my appointment.
In the day of my appointment, Sherri checked me in then Angelo started the initial exam before handing me off to Dr. Mary. Angelo was efficient and got the initial exam done in less time than what I'm used to. Next, Dr. Mary, who walked into the room and made me feel immediately at ease. She did a few tests, explained her findings laid out my options, and made sensible recommendations. No pressure one way or the other.
At check out, Sherri gave me my prescription, confirmed what I wanted going forward and took my co-pay payment. There was a slight delay during the process but only because Sherri was new, but who hasn't been new to a job and learn new things? Throughout it all, Sherri and another staff member were apologetic and just plain decent.
Overall, a great experience! I have found my new eye doctor and would highly recommend?

The office staff was friendly and welcoming, I had a very positive experience with Dr Mary McMains I'm so grateful for her expertise and compassionate care. She helped me resolve my issue quickly and effectively.
This Eyezone is the best place to go for all your eye needs. They work with you and are very professional, nice and most of all caring. I would not go to any other Eyezone!
I had to call multiple times after leaving multiple messages and never receiving call backs in order to even schedule my initial appointment. That should have been my first warning.
I have an odd situation, had to explain it about 2x to each person I met which was about 3 people in the office in addition to the doctor. I asked the doctor for a lighter power in my left eye as the condition that I have makes it hard to wear higher power comfortably. Called many times after being assured that this would be possible to do. Never received calls back, never got any follow up. They don't care and they simply don't even try to make you feel comfortable. Now I have a pair of glasses I cant wear that give me headaches because they wouldn't adjust my prescription as they promised. I gave up trying to contact them. I have to wait until Dec when I can schedule my annual exam and order glasses due to insurance renewal. So I'm stuck until then unfortunately.
I called to ask about my contact lens arrival as they would be sent to the office and I would have to pick up. Said they already called me and left a message for pick up. Never received a call, voicemail, email, text, etc. I waited weeks before calling after no codependency and was just met with attitude on the phone.
Overall just a frustrating experience and I would rather go back to the Costco optometrist than try to deal with this office again in the future. Do not recommend.
Angelo is very competent and thorough. It's good to have a practitioner who is always there and understands patient needs year after year. The Arlington location is far from my home, but I won't go elsewhere.
