Kroll and Lighthouse Optometry

I had the best experience. The staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating to my schedule and interest regarding eye wear. It was such a smooth, enjoyable process! I really like my glasses.

My family has been Dr. Kroll's patients since we moved to Reno 9 years ago. It took some time and a trial and error to find her practice, but we are so glad that we have her. Dr. Kroll is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. She works with the best ophthalmologists in town. Her office runs very effectively. Works great with insurances and prices are reasonable. Highly highly recommended, if you can get an appointment.

Very disappointed that I drove all the way from Fernley to pick up my glasses just to find a note on the door that they closed at 3, and it was exactly 3 PM when I showed up surprisingly. I highly recommend that hours are updated on Google when these things happen.

Dr. Lighthouse, is awesome. she explained everything she is doing to check to make sure you got the exact prescription that you need for your eyeglasses. I will tell everyone I know to make an appointment with her. I have gone to her for years.

We have been going to the office for over 25 years and up till now it was a great experience, but with the recent office staff, the customer service had gone down. With trying to get approved with insurance and then with the way we were treated to get another appointment and the wait time to get in was very disappointing and we have found another doctor to see. We will miss Dr. Kroll especially since we have watched her grow up to a great person and doctor to follow in her father's footsteps. We only wish her staff appreciated the patients as she does.

I just had the worst experience after 17+ years with this office. Before I go farther I will say that Dr. Lighthouse is amazing and most of her staff members are also very professional and nice. The woman I spoke with this morning I believe her name was Devon was extremely rude and accusatory to me. What happened is this- We received a letter friday evening in the mail that we would be turned into collections if they did not receive a payment for an amount accourding to there office they had not charged me at the time of the appointments in Aug. I had paid over 700.00 at our apts. So this came as a surprise to me and I asked what this is about and why I received a threat to be turned into collections as I had not recieved any prior notifications to my knowledge. Devon got very upset with me, accused me of being rude I tried to explain that sometimes our mail is sent to a neighbor and if that was what had been happening why had they not called me so I could have cleared this up asap? She kept reiterating I was being rude and then transferring me to a voice-mail as soon as I told her I was not being rude but wanted to find out what this was about. I ultimately had to call on my daughters phone as I believe she blocked my number and that is when I spoke with a different member and was able to get the info for what this was about and how I needes to resolve this. I first had to have my mother call and she was told that the billing dept. Is gone for the week, as I believe that is the voicemail I had been transferred to when she hung up on me, this was very rude, calculating and unprofessional considering that if she knew that dept. Was gone till after my week time frame to get this cleared up then it seems to me this was vindictive of her knowing it would result in us being turned into collections... I had to ultimately resort to my mother calling for me and getting a resolve on my behalf.... highly unprofessional as I am a 40 year old woman who just wanted to know why I was being threatened to be turned in... I had no problem paying the bill if it was in fact mine owed, but I wanted verification about it first. I am sorry that we have been put in this position after such a long time at this office and am saddened that I no longer feel safe to bring my children here if we will be bullied by any office staffer as is what my experience was today.

I have been a patient of Dr Kroll's practice for 15 years, starting with Dr Kara's father Eric, and I have consistently receiving excellent care. However, my recent experiences have been quite disappointing and I have decided to leave the practice. I have been experiencing difficulty focusing close up and requested to see the doctor three times. Each time, I was told that no appointments were available and I'd need to wait for my annual appointment. I was really looking forward to see dr Kroll but due to a flight cancellation, I had to reschedule my appointment. Unfortunately, the next available slot was three months out. The situation was further exacerbated by the receptionist's lack of empathy and unwillingness to help me find an earlier appointment. Despite explaining my urgency and the approaching expiration of my benefits, the receptionist showed no interest in assisting or accommodating my needs. As an established patient of 15 years I find this lack of support and understanding from the office staff is very disappointing, especially considering the loyalty I have shown to this practice over the years. The quality of care and kindness from Dr Kroll has always been exceptional, but the current administrative issues and lack of empathy from the receptionist are quite frustrating.I hope the practice addresses these issues promptly.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kroll's for years and it has been a great experience. Always professional, he is modern and current on all the latest in eye care and maintenance; he is also kind and good natured leading to an all round first rate experience. The staff is also always knowledgeable and helpful. I have had extended conversations about types of contact lenses and glasses that other optometry offices would never have taken the time to have with me. The level of commitment of everyone at the office is exceptional.
