Spindel Eye Associates

Everyone at Spindel Eye Associates were wonderful and very accommodating. I experienced complete PVD in both eyes years ago and recently developed an onset of new symptoms. When I called the practice and explained the situation I was given the appointment time I had requested, which was later in the day (due to work meetings).The appointment scheduler was very kind and compassionate to my situation. Once the Doctor and Technician reviewed my appointment and symptoms they immediately called me to have me come in earlier in the day to rule out an emergency situation. Once I arrived at the facility the entire staff were friendly and welcoming and helped me through a very stressful situation. The Doctor was very thorough in my complete eye exam and explained the next steps and expectations perfectly. I knew I was in great hands when I called the practice to make an appointment and when I was actually present in the care of Spindel's team I knew this to be true. I appreciate everything they've done for me and I'm looking forward to long term care from this wonderful team. Thank you to all involved in my care Spindel Eye! I appreciate all of you and would recommend this practice in a heartbeat!

I have been a patient of Dr. Wood at Spindel Eye Associates for over 20 years. Throughout that time, I have always been exceptionally well cared for by Dr. Wood and her team of practitioners. I give them an A+. Appointments with Dr. Wood are never rushed--there's always a good laugh, genuine care, and a sense of familiarity that comes from a long-standing relationship. She has come to know my household, and over the years I've gotten to know a bit about hers as well. It has always felt comfortable and personal behind that exam room door. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the office supervisors. In all my years with the practice, I missed one appointment. I received a letter stating that I owed for the missed visit, which I fully understood and did not dispute. I stopped by to pay, only to be told by the office supervisor, "I appreciate you stopping by, but this is mostly a warning. We're not going to take money from you today." This was confusing and frustrating, as the letter clearly stated that if I missed another appointment I would be dropped from the practice. I understand that missed appointments cost practices money--but don't send a bill and then refuse to accept payment. More recently, I had an appointment scheduled and we had new insurance. While I didn't have the physical card with me, I did have all the information at home and offered to provide it the same day. Despite my 20+ year history with the practice, always paying at time of service, and referring my spouse and two coworkers, I was told I would not be seen without full payment upfront. There was no flexibility, no acknowledgment of my history as a patient--just rigid policy enforcement that felt unnecessarily dismissive. It makes you feel less like a valued patient and more like a problem. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Wood--she is one of the best healthcare practitioners I have ever worked with. However, the office administration lacks flexibility and genuine customer service skills. While I missed my appointment today, I did leave with my medical records. It pains me to say that I will no longer do business with Spindel Eye Associates--not because of the quality of care, but because of the lack of true customer service and the inability to recognize when a rule could reasonably be bent.

This is by far the best eye doctor we have ever been to. My grandson has special issues from being a premie . They showed us everything with an image. Didn't need to dilate his eyes. Extra $40.00 & well worth it. The tech was just as wonderful as the doctor. Highly recommend this practice. It's our home now.

It was my first visit and for an emergency. The staff was so pleasant. The Medical assistant with Dr Wood whose name I can't remember, was awesome. Explained everything she did . The office is incredibly busy and yet moves very smoothly

Great place! They got my granddaughter in for scratched cornea 1 hour after I called. The tech, Dr, assistant and front desk were all amazing. They all listened to my 7 year old chatty granddaughter and made her visit so positive. I manage a health clinic and I know what great customer service should look like, this place exceeded my expectations. I will send more patients there way!

Justine from the optician department at Spindell Eye in Windham New Hampshire, went above and beyond for me changing out what needed to be done and mailed in an efficient timely manner. I highly recommend Spindell Eye and all of their services. Specially, just eat and Dr. O Block!!

My experience at Spindell Eye Associates in Derry was great from check in to check out. I was only in the waiting area about 10 minutes or less. After that everyone I saw was very professional and explained everything they were doing. If you are in need of an eye exam etc I would recommend Spindell Eye Associates

I just moved up here from Massachusetts. The person that checked me in was very nice and very courteous. Maria was excellent friendly, courteous professional. Knowledgeable. I would rate her at 10. I got a thorough examination from Dr. Noel. The overall experience was The best eye examination I have ever had in over 30 years. I highly recommend them. I will definitely be back. My son and my grandson also go there.
