Eyesight Ophthalmic Services

My son was having trouble with his eyes they had to do cataract surgery and then they head to cauterize a vein behind one eye which was done successfully. One of his eyes kept feeling up with fluid behind the eye and they kept having to drain it. One day he got a call from their office telling him he needs to go to the office the next day for an emergency eye surgery before he loses his eye. The appointment was made for 11:35 a.m. we arrived at 11:30 a.m., at 2:15 p.m. we were still waiting for my son to go in and have his surgery, I went up to the secretary and after she knew how much longer the weight would be, The secretary informed me that it was going to be another 45 minutes and that was not acceptable to me. My son has diabetes and chronic kidney disease along with neuropathy in his feet and legs. The chairs that they have in the waiting room he could not sit in because they were too low Here it is almost 3 hours later and my son has to stand all this time, the secretary was kind enough to try to find them a chair which was a computer chair that you could adjust the height but the height was just not high enough. Well after me telling the secretary that this waiting and habing to wait 45 more minutes was unacceptable. I went out in my car to wait when two nurses came out and told me that the doctors would like to speak to me I told them he really doesn't want to talk to me at this time because of how upset about the time that my son had to wait standing, they said that he would really like to speak to you so against my better judgment I went in and we had words, telling me that my son needs to take it easy and not do anything strenuous and not to use stairs. Then he proceeded to tell me that my concern about The time that my son had to wait was more important than my son's health, well of course that did not go over well with me and I proceeded to tell him he knew nothing about me and my kids were my world and I would die for them! He started to walk away and I said so are you going to do the surgery he said no because I was yelling which I was not yelling I told him you haven't heard me yell yet, do what you have to do with my son I'll be out in the car waiting, 5 minutes later they come walking out with my son The doctor refused to do his surgery, now mind you my son is 35 years old there was no need for that doctor to call me into that office and say what he said to me! He proceeded to send two more nurses out to tell me that I either needed to take my son to the hospital or take him into Boston. Who was he to tell me where to take my son after he refused to do the surgery that he was supposed to do on my son. My son didnt want to go to Boston he wanted to find a doctor closer because me being disabled myself my son knows I have a hard time walking and driving so he wanted to make it easier on me. My son was upset because of the doctor and myself bickering back and forth until the doctor said I cared more about my son having to wait then I care about my son, that's when my son got upset he knows I would give my life for my kids they have always come first before anybody and I mean anybody!! Needless to say we will be action because of his negligence and his opinions that were uncalled for! but when he went to this one to have his surgery this particular doctor the way he acted was unprofessional and his opinion about me not caring for my children was not called for at all, I have never met this man this is the first time we had ever seen one another so rest assure I am not just brushing this under the rug, and I pray to God that he doesn't act this way with other patients. It was a doctor from another one of their offices that had called my son telling him he needed emergency surgery and almost 3 hours later he's still waiting in the waiting room and nobody had came out to say they were running behind. I don't call that professional at all. So I wish the best of luck to everybody that goes to this doctor and I hope and pray they do not have to go through what my son and I did.

Still awaiting surgery, but all services and exams to date have been professional and helpful in guiding my decision. Dr Ling was very thorough and guided my decisions with careful analysis of my prior eyesight problems and care. She clearly has my best interest at heart. You cannot ask for more in a provider.

This place is amazing, very thorough, takes your concerns very seriously. Very patient answers all your questions. I never feel rushed. Staff is very friendly. I never wait very long and sometimes when I am early they take me right in. Plenty of parking. They have always made me feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place!

Doctor Bertoini and her staff are a well put together cohesive group, from start to finish through surgery couldn't be more satisfied !! My experience was fabulous, no complaints on my end and Highly recommend them!!
