I understand healthcare costs money but I am maxed out on my deductible & OOP max and still ended up paying for a refraction that I did not receive. I wish they had looked at my medical history when I inquired about a medical appointment. I liked the person that helped me and felt that she did a good job evaluating my eyes. However, they didn't give me a fresh prism refraction and insisted that I need additional appointments with Dr. Nick instead where I will likely continue to pay. I felt that it was an unfair expense for the refraction I did not receive since they already had BVD and prism glasses recorded in their system about me from previous visits. I felt like they were a bit frustrated with me for asking clarifying questions regarding the costs which made me uncomfortable.

I've had good experiences here in the past, but my most recent visits were very disappointing. I had to switch to progressives, which I struggled with, and eventually it turned out I also needed prism correction. The office only covered the cost of one set of replacement lenses, even though the prescription was still incorrect and prisms could have been included from the beginning. When I raised my concerns, their response was: "Maybe Walmart will have cheaper lenses." That was unprofessional and dismissive. I won't be returning. UPDATE: They contacted me after this review and made things right. Adding +1 star

From check in through my exam to choosing frames and lenses, I had the best experience I've had in 40 years of having to deal with this process. I normally don't use the doctors office for buying my glasses because typically it's more expensive but I was pleasantly surprised to find that wasn't the case and the service was far superior. I will always go back to Harbor from now on.

If you really care about your eyesight Dr Hudson is the only Dr you should see. I have been with her along time. She has a rare combination for a doctor. She is caring and very knowledgeable. She tells you everything, is honest and knows her craft. In a day where good doctors are hard to find she is one you should have

the same exact thing happened when i asked for an adjustment on frames. The arm was snapped off by the girl and the manager superglued it. which didn't last. i bought totally new glasses, which i liked but a month later, had to switch out lenses for new script and a month later, new glare free lenses for another $100. it's crazy. However, Dr Prudenski has helped me so much with my brain issues and Drs Sara and dr Rinita and the staff are great! The care is exceptional and their equipment is state of the art. Ypu may consider getting your prescription somewhere else if it not a complicated script. Optical does not take insurance.

After being a customer for over ten years I had an unfortunate event take place where I felt the management handled a situation poorly. During a routine adjustment to a pair of designer framed reading glasses a tech snapped the arm of the glasses in half. (Admitted to it being their fault and that she was new to the position, no big deal) the following day the eyewear manager called me to inform me that they would replace the 550$ frames at half the cost and I would still be on the line for 225$ because they were out of warranty. It would be smart to disclose this policy to customers before handling their property which are now rendered useless. My disappointment comes more from their inability to remedy an easily available situation. I felt they could have easily replaced the frames but instead they chose to make a stand over $250. Maybe I'm crazy for thinking they should be responsible for replacing something they damaged or simply don't adjust customers glasses. I will now go out of my way to take my business elsewhere. (Upgraded from 1-3 stars Feb/25 they got the glasses warrantied but only after multiple complaints and writing a public review.) I'd give them another chance.

Dr. Nik is a highly skilled clinician and a good human being. I recommend him most highly.

I was charged for a service without being clearly informed of the cost or that it was optional and not covered by insurance. When I reached out to address the issue, the billing department and office manager were unwilling to make any adjustments. After many years as a patient, I'm disappointed in how this was handled and have decided not to return.
