Had an acute eye emergency and was told by the receptionist there were no emergency appointments available for 2 weeks. 2 weeks !?! I work in healthcare and that is unacceptable for any patient, let alone an established one. My whole family has gone here regularly for almost 5 years. Well, they recommended I go to Urgent Care. So at a loss I did, they tried to help but unfortunately diagnosed and treated it incorrectly, so I called back a few days later when it was clear Urgent Care didn't get it right and requested she explain to the Dr... She did thankfully, and he offered a time spot since it was indeed a painful emergency at this point. Upon arrival no one greeted.. never asked the typical who, what, why questions when checking in. I had to prompt the front desk lady and she made zero eye contact or response. So unprofessional. Dr ran almost an hr late in what felt like lackadaisical concern to address a clear emergency. When he finally did bring me back, I do not feel his bedside manner was any better than the front desk. He was annoyed... Understandably I jammed his schedule, but an inexcusable way to treat a regular patient [And again, working in healthcare it is important to have times for ER patients]. He did figure it out and treated me for what was a sereve eye infection at this point, affecting my vision, because it should have been given concern and dealt with the week prior!! I think it's time for this fella to retire but I'm not waiting for that... I've already transferred my family to a place much less dated and much more accommodating!

5 stars doesn't give enough praise for the care I received. I'm 48 & have been struggling w my vision & not having insurance. Dr M has been beyond patient & worked with me. The staff in the office & all of it have helped me get to where I want to be! I struggled to get contacts from a diff provider locally & it was a few horrible experiences. Dr McManus' staff is just as amazing as he is!

He's the best Optometrist I've ever been to. In fact he's better than the Ophthalmologist I went to a few years back. He's friendly, patient, very thorough and explains things in a way that I can understand. There was a reviewer that did not like him because of some issue they claimed to have with their glasses. The problem with that is this has nothing to do with the doctor so it was unfair and unreasonable to rate based on this.

Years ago I went and he was great, but this last time I went it was terrible!! When my glasses came in they were wrong! It took 2 times of sending them back and they are still not right! I am out of a little more than $600. and have no glasses to wear.! They said it would cost me to have them sent back to be fixed! It's not my fault the script is wrong! I will be finding someone else to see now!

Thank you for squeezing me in on a busy Friday between other patients so I wouldn't have to wait the weekend with my eye bothering me. It put my mind at ease and was a huge help so I didn't have to spend the weekend in pain. See you Monday for my follow up and keep up the great work!
