Dr. Lawrence V. Najarian, MD

After my two sisters had excellent outcomes from cataract surgery with Dr Najarian, I selected him for my own cataract procedure. I found Dr Najarian to be more than competent- he's talented, highly educated & experienced. Dr Najarian is realistic in his expectations & prognosis while working as a master of his skills. He's that sought after combination of down-to-earth affability and expertise. I was fortunate to have Dr Najarian perform my cataract surgery.

Dr Najarian is the absolute best. I had eye surgery on a Friday and 20-20 vision on Saturday. Dr. Najarian is amazing and precision oriented, which is so important for a successful outcome. He called the evening after surgery to check in. Re the comments here about long waits in office - yes. At the same time, procedure was flawless.

My ability to see had become worse and worse over several years to the point that I struggled to open a book and read it, misplacing my glasses was a terrifying ordeal rather than a nuisance, and driving at night was out of the question. Then my opthalmologist recommended Dr. Najarian who let me know that he could replace my lenses with new ones that would correct both my stigmatisms. The surgeries were done 2 weeks apart, and I am still in a state of awe each morning when i wake up and can see as if I were 20 again! I hoped that the surgeries would give me better vision, but I never dreamed it would be as if 50 years just melted away. In addition to Dr. Najarian's skill at surgery (I don't believe there is anyone better), he is also warm and funny. His staff are also very friendly and run a tight ship.

I have been going to Dr. Najarian for years now and over this entire time, I have known him to be very knowledgeable, competent, caring and thorough. I never feel rushed. Having worked in the medical profession myself, I am very particular with my doctors and he ticks all the boxes. He even seems to love animals and has a great sense of humor. When I go for a visit, I ask specifically for him.

I called to make an appointment with Dr.. Najarian and was told I'd have to wait 4 months until February- so I accepted that. I was making the appointment and AFTER taking down all of my information and wasting at least a 30 minutes of time over 2 separate phone calls, was told that I'm scheduled for an appointment with someone I've never heard of before. The whole point of me calling was because I've heard wonderful things about Dr. Najarian from various people and wanted to schedule an appointment for myself. When I voiced this to the receptionist, Jane, she said "oh that must be my fault." This is definitely not the level of professionalism that I come to expect from medical professionals. Just be careful.
