Great kind Doctor that helped so much on vision disorders from horrible Cancer treatments. It was really toxic Cancer treatments. Doctor Heimmel was so caring he made me feel better, secure, his dye injection in my eyes was a process done with care to detect vision impairment. TIA. I can only give this a humanitarian and professional care above the rest. Always kind. I was a traumatized patient from the Cancer treatments.

I have been in this office 3 times in the last 6 months and all Incan say is that the staff are AMAZING. Everyone super friendly and attentive and Dr. Heimmel is just THE BEST. He listens to you, he explains everything that is going on with your eyes in an easy way that you can understand. Very honest doctor and carrying. EXCELLENT SURGEON Dr. Heimmel's surgery skill is unparalleled. He managed to flawlessly and effortlessly performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes with impeccable outcome, even with multiple issues complicating the surgery, s.a. corneal scarring and VERY advanced age at the time of surgery. To make the experience completely perfect, I find that his compassionate nature shines through consistently in each and every one of my visits. With his accomodating and personable office staff, one naturally feels very lucky having found him in obvious time of need. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Doctor.

I am a new patient today and as I walk into the office I was warmly welcome. Everyone seems very energized and helping me with clear explanations what I should be expected next. That was very comforting. Dr. H was very forthcoming and described what he discovered with my troubled left eye and resolved the root cause. I referred Dr. H to my girl friend immediately.

Dr.Heimmel has been a blessing for me coming to the East Windsor area. Not only is he helping me tremendously with my dry eyes, he's also helped my mother as well with her Cataract surgery. He has great bedside manner, he's compassionate, personable, and definitely very knowledgeable. The wait time is never long, and the facility is brand new so everything he has is state of the art technology and the place is pristine as could be. Highly recommend giving this office a visit whether it's for a routine exam, or an issue you're having! Top notch service 5 stars for sure.

Finally the end of my ordeal! This is an update to an earlier post. Several months ago I noticed black dot floaters in my right eye. Had cataract surgeries in both eyes 2021 with no issues whatsoever, so when these floaters appeared out of nowhere in one eye along with a white "radar screen blip", I got concerned. As a professional keyboard player, seeing dots which resemble musical notes can be REALLY annoying! LOL Made an appointment with Dr. Heimmel; he saw me right away and discovered I had a tear in my right eye retina which needed immediate attention or I could lose my eyesight down the road! He did a laser treatment to seal the retina but the floaters and white "radar blip" continued until the last week when the blip disappeared but the floaters, although less than before, continue to be there. Fast forward to August 2024, floaters continue but I noticed a "film" on my eyes which made reading mid-distance more difficult. Saw Dr. Heimmel on the 16th, he recommended doing a laser treatment to address scar tissue in both eyes developing after cataract surgeries. Right eye was done only and supposed to come back in a few weeks for the left, but I never made! Vision clarity immediately improved in the right eye, but still blurry in the left so Dr. Heimmel's office squeezed me 3 days later for an emergency appointment the morning of an upcoming performance to have the left eye lasered so I could see the music clearly! Dr. Heimmel was seeing follow up surgical patients all day, but made time for ME!! THAT is what makes Dr. Heimmel and his practice THE BEST AROUND!! Everyone person in his practice truly cares about their patient's well-being even when it's inconvenient and nearly impossible to adjust a schedule....but they will find a way! I HIGHLY recommend this practice!

I can't say enough good things about Dr Heimmel. He saved my eyesight after suffering a closed glaucoma attack. Dr Heimmel is an absolute outstanding surgeon. I highly recommend him.
