Dr. Joan Lee

My mom recently had cataract surgery with Dr. Joan Lee, and we are very thankful for the excellent care she received. Dr. Lee was very kind, professional and took the time to explain everything clearly before the procedure. She made my mom feel comfortable and confident. The surgery went very smoothly, and my mom's vision has improved a lot. The staff was also very friendly and helpful throughout the process. We truly appreciate Dr. Lee and her team for taking such good care of my mom. Highly recommend

Dr. Lee is not only highly knowledgeable and professional, but she also takes the time to listen carefully and explain everything clearly and patiently. Her attention to detail during the exam gave me great confidence, and she made sure I fully understood my condition and treatment options. She has a calm and reassuring manner that immediately puts you at ease. The office staff was friendly, organized, and efficient, which made the entire visit smooth and stress-free. I truly appreciate Dr. Lee's dedication to her patients and her genuine concern for their eye health. I highly recommend Dr. Joan Lee to anyone looking for an exceptional ophthalmologist who combines expertise with compassion.

I see her at Somerville and Dr. Lee and her nurse are great. She's very kind and thorough. The front desk clerk is very sweet and organized. The office however leaves much to be desired. Average appointment is 2 hours because they're so unorganized. If you're there when they have vision exams you will wait over an hour just to get in there. Additionally there are a couple staff members that have made snarky comments. As someone w a chronic illness I have a complicated history/symptoms and I have heard them laughing and making comments about "warning each other about 'this one'" bc they have to take extensive notes and more time. It's quite upsetting. I would ditch however the doctor, RN clerk and optometrist are really great.

Have been seeing Dr Lee at the Bridgewater location for a few years. She's a great doctor and very thankful for her care. Would recommend for any eye issue but especially inflammatory eye conditions.
