Had a great experience today with Dr. Janet DeLatte and her office staff for an impromptu eye appointment. The office I visited is in Costco and was very convenient for me. She was friendly and thorough and her receptionist was quite nice and helpful.

Fast and affordable in other contexts may illicit notions of sub-par service and quality especially when it comes to your eyes but rest assured that is not the case with this practice. Located inside the Flemington Costco Janet offers high quality optometry service with state of the art equipment and an in-depth knowledge of eye care. What makes it fast is a no-nonsense approach to your needs. I hate going to an optometrist who spends half the time trying to sell me on products and services I don't need. My last optometrist sold contact lenses and glasses which he subjected me to a constant sales pitch during my visit. I felt harassed by his staff who pushed things on me I did not need. Janet never does this because all she does is optometry. Here you get to see the doctor right away many times without an appointment. After filling out one solitary form I was in the chair getting my eyes checked. The exam is thorough and quick. The affordability likely comes form the fact that they don't have to pay exorbitant rent (and associated utilities) at some strip mall. I paid $120 for an simple no dilation exam for contacts and glasses. In addition to my two prescriptions I also got 2 travel size contact lens solution and a trial pair of lenses for free. Janet was compassionate, caring and understanding. I will be going back and recommend her to my family and friends. Finally the great thing is that you can take your prescription a few feet away to the Costco counter for eye care.
