Dr. Zimmerman of JCPenny Optical is an outstanding optometrist! I was not satisfied with my previous experience at another company, so I tried this one. I have some damage to the maculae in my right eye, but thankfully my left is dominant. The previous optician, rather than trying to work with me to get a real prescription for that eye (I couldn't read the chart as well as the left), he said he'd give me a "balance".
When I saw Dr. Zimmerman, she said, and I quote: "Don't ever let anyone tell you they'll give you a balance..." She patiently worked with me and wrote a prescription based on what I could see and read form the chart. Conclusion: I'm seeing better than ever! One of the issues with reading with my other glasses is totally resolved. Dr. Zimmerman is the real deal, and I'd recommend her 100% to anyone needing to see an eye doctor.
Also, the frames and lenses that I purchased there are far better than the former. It was worth the 10 days or so to received the new eyeglasses, and I'm SO satisfied and VERY grateful!
