The Eye Center At Jackson

I've been seeing Dr. Raghu since 2019, and I can't recommend him enough! He diagnosed my keratoconus and has helped me every step of the way with setting up treatment and supplying me with scleral contact lenses. He's incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. I now live in Philadelphia, I still drive over an hour to see him because I trust him completely. His front desk staff is also wonderful -- they're friendly, responsive, and always do their best to fit me in for appointments or answer any questions I have!!

The Eye Center always take great care of me. Dr. Ragu is personable and compassionate. The staff is polite. I am a long time patient and will continue to go to The Eye Center for my eye care needs.

Great experience overall. The exam here is far less intrusive than those I have had at any other location. Dilation is not needed, for example. The eye pressure test takes a split second and with no air blowing in your eye. Lots of great stuff. You move from station to station initially with a technician to get the baseline information before the doctor sees you and gives you a proper exam and figures out your current prescription needs. As some reviews have mentioned, there are services recommended that are not covered by insurance - such as the 3D scan, which is very cool. But even before I got to the office I read about the optional services on the forms that I filled out (online) prior to the appointment. The doctor also pointed this out during the exam before the costs were incurred. They are optional, and if you say "no thanks," that's it and there are no costs. That said, the optional features really give you, the patient, the ability to see a level of detail that you don't normally get. I found it worthwhile, because I really want to know what's going on. Either way, the entire staff at the office was particularly nice, and we were able to get new lenses for my existing daily glasses as well as new lenses and frames for more task-specific glasses I will use on the computer for work. Good selection of frames for both men and women. I found a few frames I was very fond of. All the costs were broken down (lenses, frames, coatings, different grinds, insurance discounts, etc) and I got what I wanted without much hassle.

Finally, some real treatment for my eyes! I was able to get a same-day appointment, and Dr. Raghu immediately noticed how severe the redness was. He addressed my concerns thoroughly and even brought a sense of humor to the visit, which made me feel at ease. Highly recommend!

After 4 years I finally got my way back to the Eye Center. Not only did they check my eyes for conditions I didn't even know existed, they helped me find two pairs of eye glassss I'm so excited to wear :) Marisol and the staff gave me a very personal attention to my vision. ....i just received my two pairs of prescription progressive glasses and I couldn't be happier! The eye team Gary /Marisol etc....helped me choose glasses that fit perfectly on my face. They helped me try over 30 glasses until I decided on these two :(

I have been having issues with eyes/contacts since I work remotely due to Covid-19. This entails hours and hours of time on my laptop. My eyes have gotten worse and this has caused me to consider transitioning to glasses even though I have been wearing contacts for the last 20 years. I was referred to the The Eye Center from a friend because I he told me they are not the traditional eye center but are good with challenging patients. My eye exam was absolutely excellent and thorough. I asked a lot of questions and Dr Raghu was very understanding and sympathetic in managing my anxiety towards switching to glasses. After the exam I met Bill who manages their optic center. To my surprise, within 5 minutes he picked a pair of glasses that seem to fit my face perfectly. I really thought I would be in their office for a lot longer picking out a pair. I tried on many glasses but just kept coming back to the original pair Bill picked out. Since my prescription is high, I was concerned about having thick lens so they recommended progressive Zeiss lens. I received them in the mail this week and I am absolutely happy with the final product. I am a very meticulous patient and somehow they were able exceed my expectations. As you can see from the pictures below they are absolutely beautiful. The lens are absolutely amazing despite having a very high prescription. I give my highest recommendation to The Eye Center but especially Bill in the optic center. The process of transitioning to glasses was a lot smoother then I anticipated and my lens look amazing!
