Dr. Feldman is the most caring and genuine eye doctor I've ever met! I took both of my grandparents here multiple times. My gramps are both age 80 and both have eye conditions in need of surgery. They were previously diagnosed in China by but the level of care and expertise Dr. Feldman showed is unmatched. He talked in detail about their conditions, went through several machines to check their eyes, were patient and proactive the whole time, and in talks with him I can tell he genuinely cares :)

Dr. Chiang's office is the most unprofessional place I have ever seen. I called 7x to try to get my mother to get a consultation for surgery and the front desk girl never called us back after a week my parents had to go to the office to make an appointment and she gave us a hard time said we had to get her medical forms first before making a consultation??? What kind of place is this, I have worked in doctors office and have been so kind and helpful to my patients never had to make people go get me forms! I reached out myself to get them. Then after the consultation he makes her buy eye drops for $60 to use before having the surgery. THEN we had to wait 3 weeks to be able to get someone to call us back to get my mother scheduled for a surgery and when I ask she said " because of the insurance your mother has and with her health she can only be seen on Monday or Wednesday at the end of march!!! We are in first week of January!! Then she gives attitude to me on the phone when I ask her if there is a direct line that I can call directly since I have always reached the main line and no one ever answers or gets back then she started talking back. This is very very unprofessional I myself have a job like her and was never unkind to my patients and was always getting back to them the same exact day no matter how busy my call volume of the office was being 1 person in an office who sees 300 patients a day. I am very unhappy with the treatment his receptionist did to us the past month.

Dr. Chiang and the surgical staff were fabulous, attentive, and very knowledgeable. I found I got answers quickly to my questions surrounding cataract surgery and Dr. Chiang put my fears to rest. I would highly recommend him and Mercer Eye for your eye needs of all kinds. Hats off, my experience was fantastic!!!!!

The only reason this place gets two stars is because of Dr. Chaing. He is great and spends all the time you need, answers questions thoroughly and is very knowledgeable. Surgery staff is also very good. Unfortunately getting a hold of the practice itself is awful. NO ONE ever answers the phone when you call. Instead you get a phone tree with 10 (yes you read that right) options. Two weeks in to treatment for an eye issue I developed a problem and had to call. After listening to all 10 options I chose the one for an "urgent eye problem" since there was nothing that said you could leave a message for your provider. After pressing that option I got another recording telling mew to leave a message and they'll get back to me "as soon as they can". A bit casual for a message pertaining an urgent problem. Since I just left the message I can't comment on how soon they'll call back or if as other reviewers have stated they fail to call. Also the front desk can be extremely rude. Depends on what kind of a day everyone's having I guess. Anyway, the doctor is fabulous, so just be aware you have to put up with everything else to get to him.

I've been calling Mercer Eye Associates for an appointment and leaving clear messages name, date of birth, and telephone number and no one calls back. If the practice doesn't want returning patients just call the patient back and say so. I don't want doctors that don't have staff to answer phones or respond to messages. I've moved on to a new eye doctor that has staff to answer the phone and schedule appointments and they were pleasant.

Dr. Chiang is a very nice doctor. I have been calling this office since February trying to reschedule my appointment(cancelled to family emergency. I'm having eye issues and no one is returning my calls. I know his schedule is normally booked up, but I've left several messages requesting to see anyone. Their scheduling department is HORRIBLE!!!

Dr Feldman met us at the office on New Year's Eve for a complication of a hemorrhage in my husband's eye. He was very thorough & we were confident in his ability to address the issue. Very thankful he was on call & did not direct us to the ER.

I'm surprised to see the poor reviews for this office. Dr. Ellis is a 5* all the way - but the frustration for me is that I can't make my next year's appointment when I leave, but if I call three months before I'm due to come in - there are no appointments until 6 months hence. My daughter has a condition requiring annual visual field mapping, and she generally ends up getting it done about every 16 months because of their chaotic scheduling practices. But we trust Dr. Ellis with her eyes, so we put up with it! (otherwise we'd be going to Wills in philly)
