Shore Optical

I have been using Shore Optical for over ten years and I highly recommend their practice. Stan is a great optician and also a really nice guy. As a longtime supporter of local businesses, I urge you to fill your optical needs a Shore Optical. Great People!

Can't recommend this place enough. My son lost his glasses on the ocean swimming. John was able get us a pair with in 24 hours. Kind and professional. The price was very reasonably as well had a good selection of frames. Thanks again for getting this done so quickly and professionally.

I can't recommend Shore Optical enough. Top notch customer service. Shore Optical really came through for me when I was in a pinch for contact lenses. With all the chain optometrists out there, it's hard to find a good, local eye doctor. It's refreshing to know that Shore Optical takes pride in giving its customers great service. I actually have not been to Shore Optical, however when my friends glasses were destroyed with scratches I did some research. The reviews were wonderful for SO so I told my friend to call them. She was seen the same day and had new glasses the next morning. She was beyond grateful for a wonderful experience. Today my son arrived from Texas and required a new contact. He went over to Shore Optical and they gave him one for free to hold him until he returns to Austin!! SHORE OPTICAL IN MARMORA THNK YOU!!!

Saw Dr. Dunn on 6/4/2024. Prescribed new lenses. Glasses made. No good. Made new glasses. No good. Saw Dr. Dunn a second time: didn't know where he got "those numbers". Came up with new prescription. Glass made. No good. Today I returned glasses. Bifocals not right. Told that the lenses in the frame I picked out are larger than my old glasses. Needed to pick out another frame. At this point, I'm getting glasses made in a frame I don't want with my old prescription. Hopefully I will at least be able to see with them. $500 wasted. Worse part is the same thing happened in 2019. Last time I go to Dr. Dunn. Very unhappy.

I am here on vacation/work with my family from PA, and while on a Saturday afternoon; my 2 year old son bumped my glasses into the ocean. Needless to say I was not able to see much until Monday where I called this closest location and Stan saved my entire rest of my stay. I had my prescription on hand and he was able to not only give me new glasses but back up contacts ASAP. Thank you so much for helping me in such a moment like that! I am so ecstatic to see properly again and I can't thank Stan and Shore Optical enough especially since I have never been there before!

My girlfriend had an issue with her contact lenses while we were in New Jersey on vacation. The gentleman at Shore Optical who helped her was extremely generous and helpful, despite the fact that she is not his patient. I would leave six stars if I could for customer service this excellent!

Called. Was told my insurance is accepted. Made an appointment. Was told by the rep on the phone to bring my insurance ID card and license to the appointment. Come inside, am not acknowledged for the first 15 mins. Then I fill out the form and sit and wait for 40 mins. Get taken back with someone and asked what brings me in. So I explain that I need to check my vision and get glasses and a new script for contacts. NOW, just after all this, I am told its $40 just to get my vision checked, so I get up and leave. DISSAPOINTED AND WASTE OF MY TIME. Could of told me its $40 on the phone before the appointment.
