The Focal Point

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Would give zero stars if I could. I have been a patient on this office for 15 years. The problems started at my last visit in 2024 when the receptionist insisted I was a new patient and did not have an account. Extremely strange, but I was told it would be resolved. they set me up with a new contact ordering system at this appointment. It is much more expensive than competitors, and I assume this is because the office makes money off of it. Fast forward to now, last month when I ordered, I was sent a one month supply opposed to a three month, which is what I always select. This was done without my permission or knowledge. When I contacted Marlo, the company, they informed me this was a hold my doctors office puts on the account so you must come in for an eye appointment. This is another money grab, as a one month supply is much more expensive than buying a three month. This was the first week of December, a month where the office is closed half the month due to holidays, and life is extremely busy period. When I called the office to explain that I was almost out of contacts, I was meet with a rude and utterly unhelpful receptionist. She told me there was nothing they could do to get me more contacts unless I came in. She also tried to gaslight me that I had no been in for an appointment since 2023, even though I was starring at my appointment confirmation from 2024 via email from THEIR system. When I told her this and said I would literally forward it to her, she just told me I was wrong. Something is severely wrong with their records and or system here. Regardless, she did not offer me any help or understanding. If you are looking for a doctors office that actually cares about your well-being, and is not just looking to pick your pockets at every corner, stay far away from the focal point. It was honestly disgusting and embarrassing how the receptionist spoke to me, she needs to get a grip and take a refresher course in both customer service and patient treatment. At no point did she offer me any sort of solution, or trial contacts to get me through to an appointment. Instead she just belittled me. Safe to say me and my entire family will never be returning!

The staff is very friendly and professional. The exam was great and my glasses fit and work. The only semi negative thing is they could use a bigger selection of frames. But I found frames I really like.
