I used to work with Dr. Matzo as her receptionist, so I'll keep this as unbiased as possible. She is an incredibly thorough doctor and truly cares for her patients - I've seen it from behind the desk but also from the exam chair. She has seen and evaluated me as a patient and my vision is now so crisp! I hadn't realized how comfortable I became with my blurry vision prior to my visit. She also addressed some concerns with me about my eyes candidly and thoughtfully, giving me her full attention, making me feel safe and seen as a patient.
She is normally booked a month out, but that is because patients will wait that long to see her - that's how good she is.
Dr. Matzo's receptionist, JoAnna, is so kind and it's easy to book an appointment with over the phone. Patient care here is truly personalized! I'm thankful for this team for taking care of both me and now my mom!
I had my first appointment with Dr. Matzo today and I have never had a provider perform such a thorough exam. She also walked me through each set of test results to explain changes in my vision and areas I need to watch for. The office was clean and calming. The receptionist was able to answer my insurance and scheduling questions and the optical shop on the premises had many beautiful choices with a very helpful staff. At my old provider, I was one of 15 patients waiting and 6 people waiting with dilated eyes. But Dr. Matzo truly offers personalized care. Very thankful to find this office.
I took my Mom for an eye exam w/ Dr. Matzo today. My Mom has dementia so it was very difficult to get accurate test results during the exam. Dr. Matzo spent almost two hours with my Mom. When it was clear that we couldn't tell if it was my Mom's eyesight or dementia contributing to incorrect responses Dr. Matzo was extremely patient, kind and caring. She didn't give up and continued to be thorough, trying a few different things. She was very gentle and understanding with my Mom throughout. Also, her receptionist called out today so she had a lot going on but it did not detract in any way from the amount of time she spent with my Mom during her appointment. I am very grateful and I can't speak highly enough about the overall experience with Dr. Matzo.
I just had my first visit with dr Matzo.
On arrival: She was on time, her office clean, her staff pleasant.
My consultation: dr Matzo was extremely knowledgeable, took the time to explain my diagnosis, and during the patient interview process gathered information to explain so much about my eye symptoms that will definitely make a large impact into my future. As a doctor myself, I always admire colleagues with great chair side manners.
Prices: I find the costs of her services to be low for her skill level, but yet fair to the surrounding market.
Want again to congratulate the team.
Highly recommend!!
Dr. Matzo is, without a doubt, the absolute best optometrist I have ever been to in my life, and I don't say that lightly. On a scale of 1-10, she's a 20! I have been a patient of hers for, must be, 20 years now. She is thorough to a fault, she takes her time with me at each visit, she explains things in a manner that I understand, and I never leave with any questions unanswered. And, importantly, she is associated with and known to other top-notch eye specialists in their fields. Over the last year, I have been seeing a specialist due to a rare autoimmune issue affecting my eyelids, and the eye doctor she referred me to is a specialist in the exact optical issue I have.
Dr. Matzo has a wonderful personality, her office suite is immaculate, and her staff is always friendly, welcoming and efficient. I always highly recommend her to others.
Dr Matzo is a Caring, professional excellent eye doctor who takes her time to examine and listen to your concerns and needs.
Can not say enough great things about Dr. Matzo and her staff. They are so caring and knowledgeable and really take their time in answering questions and addressing concerns. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you!!!
Besides being a wonderful doctor she is extremely caring. My kids and I all go to her and we wouldn't go anywhere else.
