I saw Dr. Barrueco for the first time after being referred for follow-up on vision and dry eye concerns. I was so impressed with how thorough and thoughtful both he and his staff were. They took the time to review my history, medications, and concerns, and walked me through a variety of tests (with great explanations) until they pinpointed the issue.
The office runs smoothly--scheduling was easy, wait time was short, and the staff was warm, professional, and efficient. I got to my appointment 5 minutes early only to hear the fire alarm going off and the lobby emptying out through the front door...30 minutes later we could go back in...even though there was a 30 minute delay I was in and out in 20 minutes...Dr Barrueco got me in, and I got a thorough exam. He is professional, answers all your questions and listens. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr. Barrueco treated me, in lieu of my regular ophthalmologist, for follow-up after my glaucoma procedure the previous day. Not only did Dr. Barrueco know little about my surgery, but he also didn't know about the duration of the time I needed to take my medication. I also never had a doctor tell me that the surgery I had was reputed to be very painful! By the way, I had no pain whatsoever. Needless to say, I am looking forward to my follow-up in a few days with my regular doctor/surgeon. Dr. Barrueco, an optometrist, should not be treating patients who had glaucoma surgery.
