I have VERY bad vision. My glasses were previously made by a high end practice in NYC. But I did not have the time to go to NYC. So, based on reviews, I went to Anspach in Summit. I was very nervous, but the result was great! Sonia even got in touch with my NJ ophthalmologist because she didn't think the prescription would work. She sold me on bifocals which I had never worn before. In addition, these are the best frames I have ever had. Just on and off. Great fit! Not cheap, but well worth it. My new glasses are terrific! I stopped in here for a sunglass repair on a whim. I was met by the most hysterical, friendly and knowledgeable owner Sonia. She was wonderful in every way.
Although I didn't purchase anything, while I waited I perused the store. They have a lovely selection of designer and fashionable glasses and sunglasses.

I drove an hour to get to Anspach Opticians because my first experience there was so great it was worth the drive to return when I needed new glasses. The service is beyond great. The owner is so incredibly helpful. She takes time to learn what you like, styles you are comfortable with, and how much you want to spend. She recommends frames and gives you her professional opinion about which frames fit the best and look the best on you. I thought all eye glasses were uncomfortable but she knows how to fit them and/or will tell you if the fit is wrong for you. She has a great sense of style and will help you decide what looks best on you. This is not a big box store experience. It's a quality, customized experience and quite enjoyable. And the selection of frames runs from the very traditional to funky and everything in between. There is something for everyone on display in this shop.
