Dr. Ellen M. Beebe

A personal review: Dr. Ellen M. Beebe is an outstanding and exceptional optometrist with Eye Associates of New Mexico. Being new to Albuquerque--however, not being new to eye care, today, I was so very extremely fortunate that Dr. Ellen Beebe had the availability to be my Optometrist. Briefly, with the intent of providing summary info re my medical history, I was born 3 mo premature. My parents were advised at my birth that I would not live. At apprx age 3, I fell through a hole in the flooring of a still under construction new property--to a concrete floor basement. YES, I lived! However, I MUST share relevant and most important that I was born with congenital strabismus (i.e., a cross eye condition). As years passed, I learned additional information--that I was also born with mono vision as well as not having depth or spatial perception. Very early in my life, I wore a patch and experienced several years of eye exercises sans surgery. Re my personal life, in latter years, I was fortunate to have received undergraduate and graduate university degrees--as well as having taught and worked at a university for a lengthy period of time. Importantly and relevant, I am now a young senior who has experienced 15 surgeries in the last 9 years to include Thyroid Cancer, having experienced 2 thyroidectomies and RAI. IMPORTANTLY, TODAY, I met Dr. Ellen Beebe. No prior file information was provided to her--except my relevant medical background which I provided today. Dr. Beebe is extraordinary. Prior to my first appt, she took the EXTRA time to "thoroughly" review and absorb both my personal eyesight history in addition to my more recent surgical/ medical history. If I may share, her assessment my was thorough and "spot on". Her examination was extraordinarily comprehensive (as would/should be expected by all her patients)--and with my background, I believe that I am qualified to make this statement).
