Dr. Planitz and her team are amazing!! I took both my kids there at 6 months old and my oldest again at 3 years old and I can't say enough about their office, professionalism. They are one of the only offices that does the pediatric eye exams at 6 months for FREE! We live pretty far from their office but because we loved our experiences with our two kids both me and my husband now both are patients and go for our yearly exam...its worth the drive!

This practice is overpriced and they under deliver. I have never paid this amount anywhere ever. There are many tests that they "require" that is not covered by insurance. You are not allowed to refuse these tests even tho they are not covered. I believe this is how they are making up for low insurance reimbursement. They were going to change my sons contact lens brand but the new contacts never came in for him to get fit. They reluctantly fit him to the brand he has been wearing and gave us his prescription. But before they would release the prescription there was another charge that magically showed up even though the bill had been paid in full at the time of the original exam. I paid the $10 and practically ran out the door. Lesson learned, I WILL NOT return.

A very unethical practice! Pushy sales, expensive "required" diagnostics that no one else uses, and repeated sketchy payment requests 9 months post appointment! I had an exam in June. They asked me to pay additional money in September but said I was clear after that payment. Then, in February, 9 months after my appointment, they called me to demand more money. During my exam, I was given the hard sell for services and diagnostics I did not want. They tell you the tests are required even though they are not part of a traditional eye exam and not covered by insurance. They literally will not take no for an answer, it is super uncomfortable. They then used the results of these extra tests to try to get me to buy more products and get extra exams using scare tactics. They refused to release my husband's contact prescription to him unless he bought their preferred brand of contact rather than less expensive brand he uses. They are still holding his prescription hostage to this day since he refused to buy. They have a fancy office with lots of new equipment... but they have to pay for it somehow. I recommend that everyone stay far away from this practice.

After a month of searching around for a suitable pair of frames, I came upon a nice quality pair at this place. I enjoyed the prompt service and friendly staff. Today I called to pick up my frames, as i was to complete my transaction with this business. I was told that, as promised 5 working days ago. My frames had not arrived, and additionally they had no idea of when they might arrive. No tracking number from shipper, no anticipated delivery date, no helpful info whatsoever. I was told to call back as they would check-up on frames and supply me with some info as to status. Called back after 2 hrs had elapsed, and was again told no info was available. I asked for management to contact me, and hrs later I was contacted by a manager (Heather) and told they had not been shipped from supplier, and that it was out of their control. Again no shipping, or tracking number provided, indicating no product had shipped. I asked to please verify with shipper as to when I might be able to pick up frames. As of this writing, no info has been provided. Not sure who I can place the blame on here, but incompetence seems rampant here. If I do receive an update on shipping sometime in the future. I will no longer be doing business with this place. Incompetence is the operative word too describe this business...incompetence!

Vision Source Rio Eyecare is great! I've had excellent experiences with both doctors. Their staff is friendly and extremely competent. I also found their pricing to fair and competitive. I can't recommend this practice enough. If I could give them 10 stars, I would!

Extremely knowledgeable on product and field. I have been going to Rio eyecare since I was a kid. They were able to get me to see 20/20 with the knowledge they have with their different contact lens products.

I really like this eye doctor. Staff is nice and knowledgeable, equipment is more advanced then at other places I've been to. Also had my glasses done really fast!

I had my first appointment here last week and I was so relieved and impressed!! The receptionist Crystal was very knowledgeable on my (Many) questions and made me feel very welcome.
