Astoria Park Eyecare

I think I'm the practice's biggest fan, so glad I found it originally on ZocDoc. I've been seeing Dr. Rajat Shetty at this practice for a few years, and never had a disappointing visit. He creates a safe space for patients and is always kind, informative, and patient. The staff is also very transparent about pricing, and what insurance will and will not cover - which is extremely refreshing and appreciated! I also use ZocDoc for scheduling appointments, which has been so easy and always find availability. They're also open on Saturdays by appointment which is perfect for those working during the week.

I found Dr. Shetty through Reddit and I'm so glad I did. He was wonderful--friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in addressing my concerns. The appointment never felt rushed. Dr. Shetty took the time to answer all my questions and provided detailed information about each of my concerns. It's refreshing to find a provider who treats your visit as more than just a quick checkup. Nova deserves special recognition as well! She was extremely friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The office itself is beautiful, and they have a wonderful selection of glasses if you decide to purchase from them. I appreciated that there was zero pressure if you choose to buy elsewhere. I will definitely be coming back! If you're looking for an optometrist who will listen and take the time to educate you about your eye health, I highly recommend Dr. Shetty! (:

Dr. Shetty was so patient and kind with answering all my questions as I was going through my eye exam and overall eye health. David was also super kind in explaining my insurance policy to me and what it would cover. So happy to have found a local optometrist in Astoria!

I had an appointment for 1:30 with Rajat Shetty and came in around 15-17 minutes late due to a delay in trains. The girl upfront told me he can't see me today anymore. I had pretty good interactions with this doctor previously so it's upsetting that I was turned away like this. I wasn't told prior that my appointment would be canceled if I was late, apparently I had to be there by 1:30 on the dot but I wasn't told this at all.

One of the easiest Dr. Appointments ever. Dr. Shetty made sure the experience was streamlined, fun and easy. His feedback was on point and the office was impeccable.

Truly one of the kindest, most thoughtful doctors I've seen. Takes his time and makes you feel important. Grateful to have found this office!

Met the Dr. Seemed like a really good guy and looking forward to working with him in the future. David, the master optician, was terrific and very helpful. Took his time and sat with me, explained everything about my difficult prescription, discussed various various alternatives and showed me many different frames. Answered all my questions and looking forward to my new glasses!! Cant imagine a better expereince
