Oplinger Nancy L MD - Auburn Eye MDs

I visited the office on July 2, arriving 15 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment to ensure I had ample time to complete any paperwork and provide my insurance card as expected. I was checked in by the office attendant shortly after arrival and took my place in the waiting area. It wasn't until 45 minutes after my appointment start time that I was called in to an exam room. In the exam room there was a notice that appointments will take approximately 2 hours, of which I did not have ample time to wait for as I was already on a 45 minute delay. I respectfully asked to not move forward with my appointment and was met by the doctor, Nancy Oplinger at the window. Nancy was rude when I explained the reasoning around not being able to complete the remainder of the appointment and had I been informed of the 45 minute delay, I would have asked to reschedule at the beginning of the appointment.- freeing up time for her to catch up on her patient backlog. Although the office attendant indicated a staffing concern, I believe the only staffing issue is that Nancy schedules too many patients at once expecting them to spend half the day in a patient rooms. Today, I received a $50 invoice for a no show fee. I did indeed show up for the appointment but due to the inefficiency of the doctor, had to leave. 0/10 recommend. Do not go to this office. Although the office attendant and employee who brought me to a patient room were fine, Nancy Oplinger is not.

Following some unexpected blurred vision episodes, I called the office just a few minutes before closing. Receptionist spoke with Dr. Oplinger who suggested i come in immediately. After close examination, she insisted I go to the ER for evaluation since there was no apparent eye problem. I was reluctant because I did not want to wait 6-8 hours in the ER. She became more determined. I finally agreed, went to the ER, and was surprisingly taken in immediately because she had called ahead notifying ER staff of the urgency. After full examination, I was diagnosed as having had a mini-stroke. I can't say enough about the professionalism and care of Dr. Oplinger and her staff.

After a few years of treatment my husband transferred his care to another doctor. We are so glad be did. The new dr has done more for him in 2 visits then was received during his time at the practice. Additionally - his chart notes sent to his new doctor notes he should be on an eye drop that was never prescribed to him! The wait was excessive when he had an appointment. We can not in good conscience recommend this practice.

Just wasn't my cup of tea. After I leave the practice and obtain a new ophthalmologist... I recieve a bill in the mail from almost 2 years ago. But after a quick call to billing that was voided. I pray others have a better experience

Beware. I had cataract surgery recently. My vision is worse after the surgery; I didn't realize that correcting for distance would make my vision worse for EVERYTHING else. I used glasses for reading a book but now I need them for driving(to see the dashboard), cooking, walking down the aisles in stores(to read the tags), and just about EVERYTHING. I didn't need glasses for anything but reading small print before the surgery. Quality of life has most DEFINITELY been affected and not for the better ( which is the reason I had surgery. To improve my vision). I wish I never had the surgery!!!!!
