My wife and I drive from Brooklyn every year because we feel confident with their caring, professional staff. Receptionists are always very welcoming and helpful and the doctors really leave nothing to chance; we receive a painstaking, thorough examination every time. And they are always patient and happy to answer all questions and concerns. Takes up to two months for an appointment and the wait in the office can be 20 minutes or so, but that is how it seems to be whenever you are receiving the best care. We wouldn't go anywhere else.
Now I understand why such low reviews. First time I went they did all tests, but 1(field test). They dilated both eyes and found that I had a 30/20 vision. I returned to do the field test a few weeks later. Once the test was done they decided to dilate only the left eye. They obviously found something, but decided not to tell me. They did not dilate the left eye just for fun or because they were bored. In a few weeks I had a 20/20. My left eye still sees very blurry. Now I have to go somewhere else.
Extremely bad customer service and no one answer the phone. I have waited in the pharmacy for two hours and they still haven't send the prescription to the pharmacy. The worst doctor office move ever visited. Don't recommend anyone to go.
Came here 2 times for me and my family check ups. Both times I found all staff to be very efficient. We moved room to room and different staff checked using several machines till the doctor did her final check.
I had a terrible experience at this location, I was seen by three different "specialist " the same day, when the 2nd person finish the exam she send me home, she said everything was fine then she send me to get glasses, but I said I already have glasses and I said why do I have pain and I feel discomfort in my eyes. She started looking at my paperwork and asked if I have insurrance???? When she find out tha I do have insurrance only then, this "doctor " send me to see somebody else in the same building to get a different eye examination.
So if you don't have insurance they pretend everything is fine and send you home, they could heve said it's going to cost you $$$. But just don't care. Shame on them.
I was trying to make a appointment for this location. The receptionist picked up and stated that they are unable to make an appointment for me and transferred me to the Manhattan location. I am not sure why they can't make a appointment at the Bethpage location when I was trying to go there to see a eye doctor. I asked her these questions and she got annoyed, gave me attitude, and hung up. I guess they lost out on getting paid because I will never go to this location again because of how rude the front desk operates. I would advise other potential patients to do the same because this is unacceptable customer service.
This was such a disappointing first visit. First, I was not seen until 40 minutes past my appointment time. I was told there wasn't a room, while other people who got there after me was taken. The first person I saw did not introduce herself, did not call me by name, and took measurements without explanation and no engagement with me as a person. I then waited some more. The optician came in next - she also didn't use my name, I had to ask her her's and who she was, and she also seemed disinterested in my care. The woman who took the eye pictures did introduce herself, and showed me where to go next. I waited 25 minutes for dilation (long yes?) and finally met the doctor. I actually liked Dr Ashley Khalil - she was warm, asked me how I'd like to be addressed, and answered my questions. I spent 2 1/2 hours at this appointment (including the wait time). Surely there is a more attentive eye care clinic on Long Island.
Our son has been seeing Dr. Anwar for 3 years now, since he was diagnosed with congenital glaucoma, just about a month after he was born. We are grateful to have her as our son's glaucoma specialist. We value her expertise, kindness, and patience, and are always confident that our son is safe, comfortable and in good hands whether he is going in for a check up or getting a surgery. The office staff is also incredibly kind and friendly. We definitely recommend Dr. Anwar and this office!
