OCLI Vision Bethpage

I was very patient with this office . The doctors here all give different directions on how to handle a stye in the eye. The receptionist's are bossy and not kind . If one doctor is treating a patient with a ton of grace and patience and giving different advice on how to heal the stye rapidly and safely , it's very unsettling fustrating and unnecessarily overwhelming . Instead of my eye healing I had to go back a second time and see Weinstein partner who mumbles when he talks and was insisting on telling me about Weinstein trip to Egypt . I didn't ask about his vacation . It was not appropriate . He's not my friend he's my doctor

Doctor Rothman Rules! The staff at this location always go the extra mile for me and always work their hardest to make sure my eyes are okay. They always manage to find me appointments even when the sched is booked and Dr. Rothman takes the best care of me. He took me on as a new patient during the pandemic when no specialist wanted to see me and worked his hardest to help me. Such a cool dude! 10/10 would recommend

I wish the other reviews written here is what I experienced but it wasn't. My appointment time was 3:30pm and I left at 5:10, an absolute ridiculous amount of time to be at a drs office. I saw Dr. Weinstein who was not a pleasure at all, didn't even seem like he wanted to be there & was going from exam room to exam room dealing with 3-4 patients at a time. I don't blame him for that, seems like an office problem scheduling that amount of people at once. I went in for severe eyes burning/dry eye, light sensitivity & headaches & after an eye exam he didn't find anything-- fine I'll accept that. But when I asked for suggestions on what I can do to limit my burning eyes & address light sensitivity he had a condescending remark and said "well what are you gonna do? you can't change the light bulbs." I then asked if there were better eye drops I could use, again another condescending remark "well I'm not going to prescribe you anything" and then proceeded to give me a sample of eye drops but only because I asked. I expressed my disappointment and he said "well you could get a second opinion to hear what you want to hear." I'm sorry what?? What is it I want to hear? All I wanted was some possible recommendations and he couldn't even simply do that. Listening & validation goes along way in healthcare. Instead I wasted nearly 2 hours of my life to be talked to like i'm 5 years old & to not get any help whatsoever.

Yesterday , i went there for my regular eye exam after reading and some recommendations and i am not disappointed. They are taking a very good care of patients and following all the social distance guidelines. They sanitizing every thing after each patients appointment, they sanitizing chairs, eye check up machines, lenses almost every thing. My appointment was with Dr. Allison Angelilli, MD, FACS Glaucoma & Laser Cataract Surgeon. She is very down to earth and humble person. She listened to your every detail , family history. After eye exams , she answered all of my questions and explained to me all the concerned issues. I feel very comfortable. All the staff is very helpful and smiling..

Excellent service, never a long wait.Dr. Weinstein is excellent and I would highly recommend him. The only thing is the place needs a makeover, it looks like something out of the late 60's or early 70's, but the service is great so I overlook the aesthetics....

The online appointment does not work. You never get a verification code which is supposed to be sent to your email. Tried to call waiting 15 minutes then I hung up. Very frustrating. Never got an appointment.

I am a patient of Dr Angelilli who had the good fortune of finding her by reading reviews of another doctor who had been recommended to me . When I read one of the reviews regarding how bad the staff was(and there were more than one) at that doctor's office, the patient mentioned how happy she was with the care she received from Dr Angelilli and how wonderful her staff was. I immediately made my decision to contact her office and have my cataract surgery done by her. I will be forever grateful that I was guided to make that choice. She and her entire staff are wonderful, caring people who are great and what they do. I'm a happy patient who wishes to give back by telling everyone who wants great care with a wonderful doctor and happy staff to use this office.

Overall, I had a good experience at OLCI in Bethpage. The staff was fine and Dr Weinstein was a pleasure to work with. I went there for the first time in 2023. I filled out the forms and gave them my medical card. Over a year later, I started receiving bills from them. I called and asked why some of this isn't being billed to my insurance. They said they had the wrong patient number, so the claims were denied. Since I had changed insurance companies since then I needed to get my old card for them. I gave all the info to the billing department. They said they would resubmit the claim. I received another bill for the full amount. I called billing again and asked them for the submission history. They said they didn't have that info. "It doesn't work that way," I was told. I explained that my HR department and insurance broker would handle getting the charge handled; they just needed to resubmit the claim to my old insurance company. They said they would. The other day, I received a collections notice from their lawyer. LOL. I contacted my HR department again, and they said no claim was submitted as per the insurance broker. To all... know your rights. CFPB ruling
