Nonpareil customer serice! John, the optometrist and the store's assistant were kind and friendly and patient. The eye examination was thorough; and John has a keen eye on which glasses will frame and fit one's face well. I was able to leave the same day with prescriptive glasses that looked great. I highly recommend Bronxville Vision Center!
Horrible experience here purchasing contact lenses. The optometrist pushed a new type on me, which she was probably being paid to push, even though I had no issues with my current brand. Will never go here again.
But as others have said, the lady working the front desk is very nice.
Absolutely Horrific Experience
I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Bronxville Vision Care. They are unprofessional, incompetent, and utterly incapable of doing their jobs, though I will say the women working the front desk are absolutely lovely. They deserve a raise for dealing with such a disorganized office.
I initially saw one doctor who gave me a prescription that was far too weak. She claimed it would help with headaches--something I never mentioned as a concern. Unsatisfied, I returned and was reevaluated by Dr. Bismuth, who was incredibly rude. He handed me a handwritten prescription on plain paper, not even on official letterhead.
When I later needed to order my glasses and contacts, the store owner made the process a nightmare. He repeatedly sent the wrong prescription to my email. When I visited in person to sort it out, he made excuses and even pressured me to order through them. This interaction confirmed why I didn't: they are careless and focused solely on making a sale.
After finally ordering glasses and contacts, I realized the prescription was still wrong. I went to Raymond Opticians in New Rochelle yesterday, where they confirmed that the prescription Bronxville Vision Care gave me was extremely incorrect.
The owner of Bronxville Vision Care showed no accountability, offered no apology, and blamed me instead. To top it all off, I had already spent money on glasses from Warby Parker based on their incorrect prescription.
This place is a scam, plain and simple. They don't care about their patients, only their bottom line. Avoid Bronxville Vision Care at all costs. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Instead, I highly recommend Raymond Opticians in New Rochelle. Do not waste your time or money here.
This place is going down the drain! Professionalism and commitment to the customer is none existent.
Simple things like checking annual insurance benefits isn't done prior the appointment. Gwen was extremely unprofessional when I called her out and asked her why it wasn't checked prior and she cursed while walking away in front of my kid. When I told the vision practitioner that was there she said "it's old age, they get cranky" if you are cranky and miserable there are plenty of willing and able individuals who want to work.
I left my daughter's glasses for over 3 weeks and kept getting the run around about when they'll be ready. Gwen kept telling me, tomorrow, Monday, oh holiday weekend... I plead with them and informed Gwen that my kid got her license and was working nights and can't see clearly while driving, we desperately needed her glasses.
We had to vacation without her glasses and she was miserable not being able to see clearly. Before we flew back I called and John had no idea the glasses were there. I was pissed! I told him I would be writing a review about my experience and he begged me not to that he promised it would be ready when we arrived. I gave him the opportunity to make it right and he did. Almost 1 month without glasses.
Now, we're getting the run around for my husband's glasses! Gwen says she doesn't know when John will be in the office so now we're in limbo.
Now I feel like Gwen is deliberately sabotaging us to mess with us for calling her out. I'm taking my family of four business somewhere else!
Went in for an eye examination after 4 years of not seeing an optometrist , the optometrist told me my eyes weren't going to change so there was no point in doing one....which sounds a little inaccurate and dismissive.
Kind and thoroughly Dr. Warner Eye exam and John's very patient in picking out glasses.
Never going again. Only went because my insurance was accepted there and was close by. Was my first and last time there. Had to repeatedly say I only wanted the eye exam 5 times between the front desk, eye doctor, and eyeglass/lens maker. Front desk was nice enough, eye doctor couldn't take his eyes off my chest, and he took me to the lens maker after I told him twice I wasn't looking to have my glasses made there and/or bought there. Was told by eye doctor the front desk would give me my pupil distance I asked they said they didn't do it. Wouldn't give me my prescription because it had to be "put in the system" so the front desk told me I could pick it up tomorrow or have it mailed. I asked for it to be mailed and after more than a week it never came. I had to call ahead and get it myself. Actually ridiculous.
I have been going to Bronxville Vision Care for several years now and it has consistently been an absolute pleasure to work with Gwen and John (and I very much miss Tony may he rest in peace)...
Gwen is so kind and patient at the front desk and answers all my many questions so thoroughly and is extremely organized. Your glasses arrive when they say they will and you are always called promptly for pick up. John also goes above and beyond to explain the latest in optometry and trends and is super helpful in choosing frames and measuring/adjusting to provide the perfect fit. He is also generous with his time. In fact, today he crafted me prescription readers in ten minutes while I waited! The kindness and customer service, pricing and quality here is second to none...
I highly recommend!
