Dr. Rothstein performed surgery on my eyelids. I have to say that the precision and attention to detail was spot on. I'm considered a craftsman in my trade and details are very important. I don't think that Dr. Rothstein missed anything and I'm grateful for her expertise, Precision and talent thank you very much Dr. Rothstein.
I'm also compelled to comment on her team. Everybody I spoke to was courteous even checking out. I really enjoyed my interactions with Suzette who is rather delightful.
But from original appointment through surgery and recovery, I had nothing but confidence in the complete process.
I had a wonderful experience. Cataract removal on my right eye this morning. Went great. Dr Hindman made me feel so relaxed. She was wonderful. I would recommend her. Thank you
The "man" receptionist in the glasses center was extremely rude. My son had an eye appt and I asked the dr if she could measure the PD so I could order him glasses (which I thought the eye dr could do right in the room during the exam), she told me to go right over to the glasses center, and they would be able to measure him. I walked over there and asked the man at the receptionist desk about having my son measured, and he was extremely disrespectful stating we didn't have an appt, I didn't know it would have to be scheduled as a separate appt. I told him the dr told us to come over which he then proceeds to say, "they need to stop telling patients that." I would understand if they were busy but there was not one other patient in that waiting room and all the staff was just sitting around talking to each other. Should really think about the man you have sitting as the first person that greets patients as they walk in. Other than them being rude in the glasses center, everyone on the eye care side was extremely friendly and professional.
I had eye lift surgery in May with Dr. Rothstein. Everything went very smoothly and I got a beautiful result. Dr. Rothstein was wonderful. I was nervous during the recovery, that it might not look even, but the incisions healed symetrically. Most importantly, when I needed some extra follow up her team got me in right away. Everyone I've worked with at the office is kind and professional. Also, the office is very well run and efficient. I have much better peripheral vision now as well. I'm very grateful to Dr. Rothstein and her team. Especially Cory, her scheduler, who answered all of my questions and calls.
I didn't have a terrible experience, however ...
I found the registration people to be wonderful.
From that point on the atmosphere was very impersonal and hurried and " cold".
With no explanation of procedure.
What was happening or about to happen.
A "gentleman" came in the room. He started exam. I thought this was preliminary
Procedure to the doctor.
In fact, this WAS the doctor.!
No introduction!. A couple of minutes into this person doing
Whatever he was doing, I asked " Are you Doctor Andolino.?" A very cold yes answer. No apologies for the lack of identification. I wasn't impressed with his demeanor or explanation at the end of exam or should I say LACK of explanation.
Sorry but this was and is my perception of the appointment. I left the building perplexed and totally unsatisfied. So much so that I now feel the need to go back and tell my feelings of being totally dissatisfied and uneducated concerning my eyesight. Concerns that obviously were enough to go for a check up.
Finally, I normally would ask questions. I wasn't made to feel I could comfortably speak.
I did ask briefly about another procedure. I was given a short, curt answer to call for an appt.
I was in grief adjustment from the passing of the closest person.
This Dr. did not know my emotional state. That should not have entered into his lack of identifying himself or his lack of explaining his exam.
But for me at the time, it would have made a world of difference to my outlook.
People have bad days, I know.
But a little personal touch would have gone a long way.
Grief or not. I will not be going back to see this Dr.
He may be considered a good Doctor.
But for me, first impression, not a good one.
I still don't really know any findings. Not really. Other than " I will give you a prescription for glasses".!!
The front desk staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly.
Long story short: they don't accept vision insurance, but they don't tell you this until your appointment ends. They will write down your vision insurance number, and they will book you an appointment for contacts, but they won't tell you that it's not a contacts appointment until the last 5 minutes of your 80 min. appointment.
Now I'm out $140 that I didn't budget for a week before Christmas, I spent 80 min. in their office and I still don't have a prescription for contacts. I regret choosing the Eye Care Center. I feel totally deceived and will not be coming back.
What a great eye care, Doctor /customer service experience:
Everyone is friendly yet professional. Dr. Hwang is awesome: knowledgeable, of course, professional and understanding.
Canandaigua office: Canandaigua Ny
Dr Rothstein and her staff provided excellent care throughout the course of my surgical treatment. Cora in scheduling was wonderful, the nurses in the surgical care unit were cheerful and knowledgeable and let me know what to expect so I had no anxiety. I can't say enough good things about this team.
