Tucker Eye Care

I went to urgent care Christmas morning and was referred to Dr. Tucker , I had zero hope of getting in to see him on Christmas but left a message. He called me back and asked if I could meet at his office in 20 mins and he came in to take care of me on CHRISTMAS DAY for a work place related eye injury. I work in healthcare and know how a GOOD DOCTOR operators. Dr. Tucker IS A VERY GOOD, CARING, DOCTOR. On our way there my fiance called his mom and she recognized his name and said he is "THE BEST EYE DOCTOR". He clearly has a good reputation and it is well deserved. Thank you doc for being there for me during my Christmas Day tragedy! You're the best.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME !! My husband saw this guy and visited this office for 3 years; hoping to get relief for his extremely dry eyes. This office is HORRIBLE to people and this "dry eye specialist" listed so called "Doctor" offered LESS than our local Opthamologist's office. Plus the staff locally have never been as RUDE as Dr. Tucker's staff. When attempting to get a prescription for Meibo (especially for dry eyes) my very good NYS School District insurance wanted conditions met - tear test, prior prescription for Restasis and also Xiidra. He had taken both but Dr Tuckers office REFUSED or simply DOESN'T Know HOW to help with this documentation. If he was truly a "Dry Eye Specialist" they would certainly have been through these insurance processes prior to my husband !! Ughgh! (The secretary (or whatever her title is) said in a pretty snotty tone, " YOU can appeal the decision YOURSELF through Excellus - that's what I DO !" Furthermore - They have to buzz you in, upon arriving ........ hmm...... wonder why that is necessary . My guess is : They've probably pissed off the wrong people in the past !!

My brother, Bruce (who is mentally challenged) and I like Dr. Tucker & appreciate his care, although he has been "snippy" with Bruce a few times. The receptionist, Debbie, desperately needs a course in public relations! She is rude to Bruce & then transfers her ugliness to me at every appt & on the phone. At most recent appt, she lashed out at me because Bruce arrived very early, (he has difficulty judging travel timing from Bridgeport). She stated, in an unpleasant tone, "cannot have him sitting around in waiting room"! Bruce has 7 different Doctors, and all other offices treat him with the kindness & understanding he deserves as a person & a patient. We have never encountered a reception person anywhere with the attitude Debbie displays to the folks that provide her with a job & a paycheck!

Up until today I would have highly recommended this practice. Dr Tucker is wonderful and it is always nice to see him and get my annual exam like I have been doing for 20+ years. I went this morning for my annual exam and was taken to a room where the woman said she is going to insert eye plugs. I said that is not what I am here for. She said that is what my appointment was for. I said where did that procedure come from? She said I would have to make another appointment. Fine, but I am not the scheduler who made the mistake. Anyway, now it is time to work with Debbie. I was calm through this whole thing, but could feel my blood starting to boil dealing with Debbie. I know that is her personality since I have dealt with her for many years. But no more. I will miss seeing Dr Tucker, but am not going through something like this again. I will join my friends who have one by one stopped going there.

I had an excellent experience with Dr Tucker and his medical staff. The front desk is always very quick to answer the phone and extremely helpful and kind as well. Thank you Dr Tucker and staff!

Waiting room and offices are cluttered and unclean. The staff is miserable, especially the front desk receptionist. I've been a patient at this office for years, and my experience has just gotten worse over the years. There is a clear lack of concern and morale in this office. I wouldn't recommend this practice.

I love dr. Tucker! I have seen him since I was a teen. Over 20 years. He was my parents doctor and now my son too. Always very thorough and takes great care of you. He is always so pleasant and I look forward to my visit. Wonderful doctor and staff.

Tucker is the worst doctor I have ever met. If I could give negative stars I would. My elderly mother went in for an eye appointment and Dr. Tucker was extremely unprofessional. His actions were shameful. Thanks Eye consultant for caring for my mom!
