I had a disappointing experience with this doctor. I felt that there was very little patience shown during my visit, and the interaction came across as dismissive and unkind. My questions were not welcomed, and I left feeling uncomfortable and unsupported.
I hope the doctor can improve communication and better manner for future patients.
I've been seeing Dr. Wu for, I believe about 15-20 years. Dr. Wu is professional, friendly and thorough. He asks questions and answers all questions. Never seemed rush his patients through. Carefully performs all procedures and ensures that everything is ok before discharging the patients. He genuinely cares about his patients.
The staff is always professional and friendly as well.
I've have never had a negative experience here.
Dr. Wu saved my life. When I went to his office, I thought I was in for a regular eye exam.At first, Dr. Wu felt that I might have a glaucoma just like what my previous optometrist told me. However, he convinced something else might have happened to me.
So, he decided to send me off for a through eye exam in his office. After the exam, he was convinced that I had a brain tumor. So, he sent me off to a neurologist. It turned out I had a tumor the size of a golf ball and needed immediate operation. After the operation, the Neurosurgeon told me I was lucky to take a quick action to remove the tumor, otherwise, I would probably be blind by now.
Right now, three months later, I am completely 100% healed and my eye sights are restored. While other Optometrist couldn't diagnose me correctly, Dr. Wu was able to save my life. I owed this to him. Thank you, Dr. Wu. I recommend anyone to see him. :-)
Dr. Alex Wu and Dr. Wu has been my eye doctor ever since 2007, he and his son are warm, wonderful practitioners. I am surprised that there are negative reviews about them. I've has been there for decades now absolutely has no issues at all. They are a family practice----for families, and cater to your needs and best interest.
Dr. Wu is arrogant, incapable and condescending. About two years ago, he did iridotomy on both of my eyes, saying that the procedure was necessary to prevent glaucoma. He did not explain the side effects of it. After he did it on one of my eyes, I told him that I saw two fluorescent white lines in my vision, and expressed my concern whether I should go ahead with the procedure on the other eye. He was rude and said impatiently that the white lines will go away in several months. So he also did it on my other eye, and again I saw the same white shiny lines in my vision. I still trusted him though, believing that they will go away. But now, more than two years after the procedure, I still see the two white lines in the vision of my both eyes, which bother me a lot. On top of it, my right eye is even worse. He doesn't care about his patients, only his money. If he would do any procedure on you, please be careful, and seek a second opinion.
Dr. Alexander Wu was arrogant, impatient when i ask him questions. He diagnosed me with Angle closure glaucoma. He wanted me to have laser ASAP, I went to another doctor for a second opinion. Dr. Hayes said I am high risk for Angle closure glaucoma, but don't have glaucoma now. I just need follow up for now. I felt Dr. Alexander Wu just wants to bill my insurance for unnecessary procedure. Please don't trust this doctor if he pushes for laser get another opinion. Terrible doctor Dr. Alexander Wu!!!
I'm writing this review for my grandma. She did the cataract surgery with Dr. Alexander for both of her eyes. Dr. Alex is an exceptional ophthalmologist. He is very knowledgeable, caring and detail oriented. My grandmother is very satisfied with the services she got from both Dr. Alex and his staff. We strong recommend him to others.
Dr. Wu (son) was very knowledgable and compassionate. I was also able to get all my visual testing done in the same day. Dr Wu was able to provide a second opinion on my diagnosis and treatment options. As I also work in healthcare it was important for me to find a good ophthalmologist.
