Had the best experience with Dr. Nissirios , aside from being an excellent Doctor that has exceeded my expectations, he is a wonderful person . I also can't say enough about my surgical coordinator, Kallia. Not only did she explain at length what to expect with my surgery, she made me feel so comfortable that I was not worried at all. Not to mention whenever I called her with any questions I may have had she was always available with her calming demeanor. Metro Eye as a whole is the best choice . Dr. Nissirios & his staff are amazing. Needless to say I would highly recommend this facility !! So happy I chose them!!

It's only fair to provide a review when am done exploring other facilities. I was generally happy with the doctor but not the coordinator. Will have more to say when am done shopping around, so stay tuned. But if you are looking for cataract surgery, i suggest you ask about "costs" over & above what is paid by insurance (medicare + Anthem,): 700$ per eye for: eyedrops & post surgical procedure!!! This is what prompted me to say: let me shop around. Stay tuned

Absolutely love this place, and it's the only place I trust my eyes with. They are very professional, very helpful, and very friendly. They are also extremely efficient with their service, no real waiting, everything is like clockwork as far as getting you signed in and checked out, but they do take the time to answer questions and explain everything in detail. I highly recommend this clinic if you need your eyes checked.

I am very happy with this practice . I took in same day as i had a medical emergency as a first time patient cuz my regular eye doctor couldn't, just do walk in in another office than astoria and waiting time is hours . Iam glad that i found dr nissirios on google search ! The phone call was quick and they got me to see him withing the next hour ! From the receptionist , the nurse to doctor . Very knowledgeable and understood my concerns !!! Helped me understand what's going on and explained well my condition . I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for an ophthalmologist. Iam switching my hubby and kids to him !!

Dr. Nicholas Nissirios is the founder and director of Metro Eye MD. with locations at Astoria, Bayside, Oakland Gardens and NYC. Dr. Nissirios is a board certified Ophthalmologist specializing in Cataract, Cornea Transplantation and Refractive Surgery. He completed his medical school training at the University of Athens Medical School in Greece, followed by a 2-year post-doctoral research fellowship in Glaucoma at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NY and an Internal Medicine internship at Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY.
