Block your day if you're visiting this office. Extremely long wait time but it's worth the wait. Dr Rabin runs all the necessary tests while being mindful of what insurance will cover. He also has excellent diagnostic skills. Throughout the years I've tried other ophthalmologists and kept returning to Dr Rabin to either "fix" or resolve an issue addressed by another doctor. Trust me, most likely you will not receive this level of testing, thoroughness and skill elsewhere. He's now retiring and a doctor that has been working with him for several years is taking over. I'm hoping that she will be able to carry Dr Rabin's unique skills onward, while improving the wait time and level of staff professionalism.

DONT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME. If I could give this place -5 I would, the waiting times are insane. They will have you wait 2-5 hours just for a quick visit and it has been going on for 3+ years. very inconsiderate of people's time and they have a lot of elderly there; so unfair to them. They don't follow actual appointment times just a sign in sheet so doesn't matter when you get there. Super unprofessional.

Expect a very, very long wait. Dr Rabin is a true professional. He's been my ophthalmologist for almost 3 decades. Since it's difficult to get an urgent appointment at times, I would see other ophthalmologists only to soon regret it and find myself at Dr Rabin's office to help resolve the issue, sometimes issues that had worsen from incorrect treatment elsewhere. He's a busy doctor but he will listen to what you have to say. Again, expect a very, very long wait & no wi-fi or cell phone service in the office. It's worth the wait since he's thorough at diagnosing. Just be prepared to wait for hours. Block your entire morning and afternoon, even if you have the first appointment of the day.

I used to be a patient here back and I bought my mom here once before therefore I took my her again, mind you my mom doesn't have insurance so I'm paying put of pocket. They took about 2 hours or more to see my mother, she kept asking how much more she had to wait and the receptionist up front didn't even give the folder to the doctor that's why they took even longer. On top I discovered that they gave us the same prescription she had from 3 years ago. The doctor didn't really care to try other measurements. Really upset because I paid for nothing.

BROOKLYN, NY -- A New York City eye doctor has settled a civil lawsuit for $2.4 million after he billed false claims for payment to Medicare and Medicaid for a number of procedures, tests, and other services that were either unnecessary or could not have been performed because the doctor was not in his office, prosecutors said. Prosecutors said Sheldon Rabin took advantage of elderly and non-English speaking patients. Rabin was based in Brooklyn and Queens. From 2013 through 2016, Rabin improperly submitted claims to Medicare and Medicaid for treatments that were unnecessary by manipulating patient test readings to create an appearance of a need for certain eye care services, prosecutors said.

The ABSOLUTE worst medical office you can ever visit. They made my 85 year old mother wait 5 hours every single time she visited. They should be ashamed of themselves. Avoid this place at all costs. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Visited Dr. Rabin last week. Been seeing him over a year. Understandibly Dr Rabin has been in practice for 43 years. Last week he gave me a diagnosis and did not share it with me and continued to schedule six different eye examinations in one day which is a form of abuse. I can communicate this but am not represented or heard in doctor Rabin's office by his unprofessional ethnic or lesbian staff who have offended me and my male friend many times and all Dr. Rabin said was they don't like you either. I feel the staff is a reflection of the doctor and after the last visit and infringement of my HEPA rights by his staff and his rudeness and almost pursuit of abuse towards me I have to end the doctor patient relationship and seek other healthcare services. I also have worked in healthcare and was accepted to medical schools during my life and scouted by Harvard a few times. I am a Fulbright scholar and was going into the path of medicine as a profession. Although I did not complete it because of OPP and things beyond my control. You can only achieve as much as the people will allow you to. That would be my brief explanation. My question is if you don't want to help people or practice medicine and take an oath and infringe or go against it, why don't you stop and rethink what exactly you are doing to people. why waste valuable time on squab in America? and commit the crimes.

My appointment was at 10 am and I was in the office for 5 hours. There's no reason that an appointment should take this long.
