My elderly mom went here and got ripped off. They charged her over $400 to examine her eyes and order prescription glasses. She had asked for a light blue tint but somehow they came back with brown tinted glasses. When she pointed it out, they took another few weeks and came back with deep blue tinted glasses that either had no prescription or something so off that she could not see out of them. They refunded the part she paid in cash, but told her they would keep the part billed to insurance. She said it sounded like they've done that to people before. They told her she would have to wait until next year for the insurance money to reset. She received no product from them but they took her insurance money. Some of the folks here think they got bad treatment because they are not Asian. Not true. If anything they might just be seeing Asians as easier targets. Do yourself a favor and find a different glasses shop, even if you are Asian. Responding to your reply: Sounds like you are saying you had no choice but to keep her money while sending her off empty handed. Not sure what's worse, taking money from an elderly lady or making her sound nuts to justify it. I am not sure who you got a call from but my father does not know how to use a cell phone. Also not sure why you assume I had called the insurance and tried to get a refund. Sounds like you know the insurance won't cancel the transaction and it would have been useless for me to try. I guess you have done this before. For your information, I was planning to call the insurance but have not done it yet. My mother also has never had a problem with getting the glasses she needs with the right prescription from other shops. She also does not have a problem everywhere else she shops. She only had a problem at yours. It seems like a lot of other people have a problem with your shop too. Maybe you can spend your time and effort to run an honest shop instead of attacking the people who lost their money.

Racist, rude, and unprofessional. Upon entering the establishment, I was met with an older women who seemingly guarded me from entering the store and asked for proof of insurance before I could even explain what I was looking for. I began explaining to her what I needed (lens replacement and updated eye-exam) and continued shaking her head at my request. As soon as I took out 1 of 2 insurance cards, she immediately shut me down and said "we do not take this" even though she had not even looked at the card. I told her to hold on and I showed her my second card, in which she kept repeating "Anthem - no we do not take that" even though I do not have any Anthem insurance. I explained to her I just needed the lenses replaced and if she could give me the out of pocket costs- to which she continued to say "No, no, we will not." I sensed she was trying to rush me out as she kept me close to the door. Her coworker stood in the back, who had not even looked at my insurance, and said across the room "We don't take that." I began to realize what the situation really was, and I politely asked "Why don't you want to help me? I have insurance and I can cover cost of lenses." And the woman looked sheepishly as me and did not respond. I asked, "Is it because I am not Asian?" and she quickly smiled and nodded. Let me preface by saying: there was no language barrier. She spoke to me in English and was well aware of what was being asked. I have never been faced with such blatant discrimination, especially in a neighborhood that has become increasingly diverse in recent years. What a shame that communities like this are simply turning others away when trying to support local businesses. If you are Hispanic/Latino, unfortunately "our money is no good here." I wish I had seen the reviews for this location before heading in. I can see others have had similar experiences and have not had much luck with quality service. It's evident that solidarity doesn't exist for these owners and in fact, the responses the business have given other reviewers have been equally as rude and bashful. Coming out of the Covid-19 pandemic, you would think that solidarity between communities of color would count for something. But unfortunately, this local business is one of hate and prejudice. I don't know who their customers are supposed to be, but buyer beware if you want to continue to support racism and discrimination of customers. This is truly a stain on this community.

Please don't go here. There are many other eyeglasses shops around here. All the reviews written here are correct. They are rude, unprofessional and it's the worst ever. I don't know if it's the owner or not, but an old lady has a bad attitude of looking people up and down in a bad way.

It seems like anyone that isn't of Asian descent gets turned away without cause. I highly recommend everyone in the area do yourselves the favor and stay as far away from this place as humanly possible.

SO incredibly RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. I would give 0 stars if I could. DO NOT go here! They will tell you to come back again and again and take forever to give you your prescription and use your insurance benefits without telling you!
