STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!! So I went into this location today with my seven year old daughter expecting to have a Pleasant experience while searching for her new pair of glasses , but that was not the case !!! I asked the lady that works there to search up my daughter's coverage plan to see if it was already active as my insurance stated that it would take two days for it to be active! She came back and said it wasn't active . Okay granted i was like okay i am already here why not try some glasses on my daughter so that when I come back the next day which my insurance would be working I would know right away what I was getting ! I told the lady that was helping me that I know that the insurance was not going to cover for the name brand glasses and I was okay with that we were going to pay for the frames with our money . all I wanted was for the insurance to pay the partial part of the Prescription .The lady helping me kepttttttt TELLING ME but your insurance is not going to cover these glasses and let me show you the ones the insurance cover ! She kept repeating the same line multiple times ! I felt really uncomfortable as it seems as She thought that my husband and I didn't not have the money to pay for the frames . When I tell her to let my daughter try some of the glasses that she liked she kept saying does are too big or those are too small as if she didn't want us to purchase any of them so we just left .i don't need anyone playing with my child's vision. Like this was suppose to be a pleasant experience for my daughter and it wasn't. I hope she reads this review because if she does not like working with children she shouldn't be there . I should had read all the BAD reviews this place has before going in there .

We had a wonderful experience at Little Optics for our 2 year old son. Lorraine was very caring and patient with helping us find the right pair of glasses for our son. They made this experience a very pleasant one and we were able to get a frame that best fit our son. The knowledge and expertise was very evident in their craft. Highly recommend!

Came in to get glasses for my toddler and paid a pretty penny for them. The glasses were fine but Considering i wanted to get another pair just incase as a back up i asked for my child PD- information they had regarding my child, and to them it was a liability issue because his prescription is to high. My son's prescription was not provided by them so they are not liable for that. Its a measurement. I get it they want business. They want the money. But with doing research any record thats on file people are LEGALLY obligated to have. I asked if I can their reasoning why written in a letter formally. They told me they "couldn't" provide that. I asked what is the difference of seeing a doctor at your office who provides the PD versus paying for glasses and having it measured. Their response- its a liability. One star for the good glasses. But not for with withholding of information. I asked so many questions and no one had the answers they had to wait on a phone call. Anything with my child's information or my own LEGALLY I am allowed to have it but their response "we can not do that". No real answers. I asked all the questions and the responses given were simply "we will not give it to you". NYSED.GOV literally states "Once an ophthalmic dispenser measures and records the patient's pupillary distance, it becomes part of the patient's records. As such, it would be available to the patient" And according to 29.1 Section 7 "failing to make available to a patient or client, upon request, copies of documents in the possession or under the control of the licensee which have been prepared for and paid for by the patient or client" Pictures are attached.

Almost $600 for a pair of supposedly flexible glasses for my toddler to only break in less than a year and then get response that it is not covered under 1 year warranty since THEY had adjusted it and the frame is cracked.

They tried to charge me after telling me it's free. That's not true. With the exact same insurance, I was able to get glasses for free at another shop. So don't make it sound like I was expecting something unreasonable. The way your response is written comes across as defensive and dismissive instead of professional. If your goal is transparency, then maybe focus on being straightforward with patients instead of trying to spin the situation and talk down to them. Customers deserve respect, not attitude.

I had a great experience here at Little Optics. I had my grandma glasses done here. She is hard of hearing and has low vision due to her age. The doctor recommended her to use glasses which will help her a bit. I informed all of this to the staff and they took everything to consideration. She had a variety of frames to try on. She is really picky so I appreciate the patience they had towards my grandma. They recommended me some upgrades and I chose for her the protection that reduced the glare, which has really helped her. My grandma is really pleased with her glasses. I highly recommend this place to get your glasses. Definitely will be coming back.

I now fully support all the negative reviews. Just 10 minutes ago, I purchased glasses for my 5-year-old. I opted for expensive glasses from Little Optics to save time and support a small business. However, when I asked for my daughter's pupillary distance (PD) after leaving the store, they refused to provide it. This information is essential for purchasing additional glasses, especially since I want to have a spare pair for her. I might have considered buying another pair for my other child, but after today's experience, that's not happening. They cited "liability issues" for not releasing the PD, which is ridiculous. I certainly wouldn't even consider suing over an incorrect PD. In short, all the other reviews are spot on. This place seems more focused on taking your hard-earned money than on building lasting customer relationships. I seriously doubt they have many repeat customers.
