Northwell Health Physician Partners Ophthalmology at Fresh Meadows

I recently visited with my dad for an appointment and had a great experience interacting with the reception staff, particularly Patricia and another staff member whose name I unfortunately forgot. Although she couldn't directly assist me with my request, her exceptional kindness and professionalism really stood out. She was welcoming, attentive, and made every effort to ensure I felt heard and comfortable. I appreciated her positive attitude and the effort she put into trying to help, even though the issue wasn't resolved immediately. Her approach perfectly demonstrated that great customer service is about more than just solving problems. Thank you for making my experience so pleasant.

I am never coming back to this ophthalmologist. This is ridiculous my appointment was for 4:00 I got here at 3:40 and I'm still waiting to see the doctor at 6:10. I got everything done, I'm dilated but I'm still here. Ridiculous. Not to mention I called about 4 times the past two weeks to confirm what I'm getting done, my insurance, and my referral and when I got here they're like they only take Medicaid for prescription checks and are not going through my insurance. The first person I talked to had a terrible attitude and acted like me calling to confirm was ridiculous because for a complete check up everything is included and covered under my insurance. The people I dealt with for the initial test and dilation were great nice and all but the long wait and unprofessional behavior is not worth it with so many other places to go to. Why would you not tell me you only take Medicaid the 3 times I called???

Unprofessional and uncooperative. My husband had an appointment today at Northwell Health to see an ENT at this location. front desk was helpful no complaints about them, there were maybe 3 other patients some being taken care of already and some waiting. when we were taken to the examination room the nurse told us that the doctor will see him soon and proceed, we waited about 20mns maybe even more before the doctor walked in and spoke to my husband, the whole time we were waiting, the doctor and two other members of the staff were just sitting across from the room we were at with the door wide open while they sit click on their computers and converse. Something that we saw a little strange because the whole reason that people schedule appointments and get there on time is to be treated at least close to the time of the appointment. When the doctor walked in he asked my husband questions about him and health and the reason why we were there. Deviated septum is what he has, ever since he was a child his septum is deviated which causes him to no be able to breathe properly from either of the two nostrils and therefore it has affected his health tremendously, eventually surgery is needed. The doctor (small Asian guy maybe in his late 30's) which we didn't get his name because he did not care to introduce himself some other staff came quickly before him and said he (the doctor) will be with us shortly, said very unsure about it also that my husband needed to first be on nasal spray for a month just to see if he could get some relief and also so the insurance would cover eventually for the surgery despite the fact that his nose is visibly unaligned and looks broken indicating clear obstruction of airways from the nostrils as well as my husband explanation of him having his nose clothed up all year around he kept pushing the nasal spray aggressively and any time we wanted to explain the gravity of situation and what we actually want for my husband's health which is ultimately the septoplasty he kept interrupting us aggressively and acting visibly annoyed and his only worry was about what the insurance will cover. We went to see a specialist for a problem that my husband has had since he was a kid, a problem that he wants fixed 100% not to get prescribed for nasal spray that MIGHT (said by the doctor himself) not work but its needed because of the insurance coverage. My husband tried to explain to the doctor AGAIN that he did not want a temporary solution he wanted to go for the surgery but the doctor will not let my husband explain and just kept talking loudly over my husband and saying that it had to be that way, AGAIN because of the insurance coverage and that breathing (his own words) was cosmetics therefore it will not covered. We both kept insisting we dont care about the insurance meaning we could cover it skip the nasal and go for the surgery instead. the doctor was very obvious with how annoyed he was because we were questioning him and his decision and proceeded to say that it will not work between us because we dont want to choose the option he's given us AGAIN because of the insurance coverage. Obviously we're no doctors but if you go and get yourself checked out somewhere by a 'professional' and that person is not even sure about what he's prescribing PLUS tells you right there and then that the reason is just to see if after that month the insurance covers obviously a sane person that wants a solution will not agree to it and will want to be treated correctly. Very disappointed and we hope at least with this whoever is in charge of that specific location (176-60 Union Tpke) can at least have their staff handle some situations differently and more professional than letting his feelings get in the way. Doctors are extremely knowledgeable. 1 Optometrist, 2 Ophthalmologists, and 2 Retina Specialists.

I scheduled an appointment and they didnt assist me.

My doctor here is great , but the workers are horrible. They do not answer the phone for over an hour and a half and they listen to everything you say cause I said this is ridiculous. I'm going to get in my car and come up here and then all of a sudden the phone answered.
